First and foremost i want to thank everyone on SDN for their advice and guidance. I wound never have made it this far without everyone's collective insight. Now on to my bittersweet analysis.

Bio: As many have said before me, Cliffs AP Bio is fantastic. I also used Kaplan BB to fill in the few parts Cliffs missed. I was actually surprised about my Bio score, it was my strongest subject on my practice tests and i never got below a 20.

GC: Kaplan and Destroyer. I did better than expected on this one. On my practice tests i never got above an 18. The test had more concepts than calculations which worked for me because calculations always nail me (See QR score)

OC: Much easier than i expected. Destroyer and Kaplan BB prepared me well for this one.

PAT: CDP is the best study material I bought hands down. I got the 10 test pack and scored 20, 21, 23, 22, 23, 26 and 22 on the first 7 tests. I really felt it prepared me well and with each test i saw improvment on my speed. The keyholes were harder on the DAT and i thought angles, cubes and holepunching were easier.

RC: Now on to the bad part, the second half of the test. I dont know what happend here. I was scoring a solid 20-21 on each of my practice tests in this section. I got a few tone questions as well as a bunch of "does this statment and this reason corelate?" type questions. I was really disapointed about this score but not nearly as much as....

QR: Sad, so so sad. What a horrible way to end an otherwise solid DAT. I am an "older" student having changed to the sciences late in the game, so its been about 10 years since ive done this kind of math. I realize now that i got a false sense of security because I was scoring 18s across the board on my practice tests. I figured this was good enough so i focused more of my studies on the sciences. I realize now that my practice tests had more algebra and geometry which are my strenghts. Unfortunatly i got a QR packed full of trig and word problems which are my weakness. I underestimated this section and now i am paying the price.

So tomorrow i will call up my schools of interest and see what they think. I figure 90% will tell me to retake. What do you guys think?

Hey! solid scores dude; ummm....im thinking 90% will tell you not to worry about a retake🙂 who cares about QR anyways...lol...the remaining 10% are probably the only ones who care🙂 you are golden.

Yea I have to agree, I don't think that you need to retake. Dental schools have shown that this section is the least important, however not to say that it isn't important at all. Most schools require you to score a certain number on some sections but the only schools I have specifically seen are relating to TS, AA, and PAT and you have scores well above these baseline requirements.
I am in a similar situation to you as well, I did fairly well on the test (20AA and 20TS) but scored a 16 on the QR section. Hope QR doesn't turn out to be too important like in the past!

You have decent scores. Whether or not you'll get into your school of interest is a different story, since I'm not sure which school you're interested in. But I don't think you need a retake!

I agree. Retake if you have extra time...but then that may make your application late. Either way, the scores are not too shabby. Solid except for reading and even that is not too bad.

I got very similar scores to yours except 18 on RC and 16 on QR and I am not retaking it. I think that your chances are good. Although some schools have cut offs. Midwestern has an 18 cut off for RC. Overall though it looks great

I think that you are good to go! 15 qr will not hurt you so bad. If it is PAT or RC you may need to worry. If you expect to get in top notch schools, you need to retake. Good luck!

great scores. I would not worry too much about the 15 in QR, I think the 17 in RC will hurt you worse than the QR...

anyway, good job
