DAT Done 6/15... Need Advice

Took my DAT today. What a relief to be done. So this is my first time posting on this site but I checked in numerous times throughout my studying for the DAT. I know that kids get ridiculous scores on this site but here are my scores and I wanna hear what you guys think.

AA: 20 (93.4)
TS: 21 (96.2)
OC: 22 (94.0)
GC: 22 (95.2)
BS: 19 (83.5)
RC: 18 (52.2)
QR: 21 (97.6)
PAT: 14 (12.2)


Is this PAT score gonna hold me back. I have a 3.57 gpa and 3.64 science gpa.

During the PAT my pen ran out of ink, both of them, and had to waste 5 minutes getting the attention of someone to get me another pen. I am pretty sure this was part of the reason the score was so low. Hopefully this will not hold me back and I won't have to re-take. What do you guys think?

Some schools have PAT cutoffs, so look into other schools...but your scores really are good, which sucks why you got a bad PAT score.

wow thats really tough, i think you should retake it. a 14 on PAT, thats very bad, below the overall average. i think you will have serious problems getting in with that score. everything else looks great.

PAT score is without a doubt your weak spot.

I believe they did some studies and found a reasonable link between PAT score and performance in school.

Used Kaplan and Topscore. I heard CDP is the best but with only about 2 weeks left so I never got a hold of it. I was scoring 17-19 on the Kaplan and Topscore. But I don't know. The angles were so close and the marker issue threw off my cube counting which i usually go 15/15 on. Who knows. Gotta hoper for the best.

If you were scoring 17-19 kaplan/topscore pat, then it is still a weakness for you. Kaplan and Topscore PAT are much too easy compared to the actual DAT (as I'm sure you found out). If you do retake, I'd for sure invest in CDP.

CRACK THE PAT is the best tool for the PA section obviously..use that and once you start scoring 19 and above, then you will be okay.
