First off, thanks to all you guys out there on SDN, it really is a great website and and more importantly, a great study tool. On to my scores...
TS - 20
AA - 19
PAT - 21
Biology - 22
Organic Chem - 18
Gen Chem - 20
RC - 17 (Damn pianos!!)
QR - 16
My 2 TopScore grades were 18 AA, 18 TS, 21 PAT and 19,19,21.
Sciences - I mainly used DAT Destroyer for the sciences and supplemented it with Cliff's AP Bio, Peterson's AP Chem, and http://www.chem.ucalgary.ca/courses/351/Carey5th/Carey.html#1. Major props to the Destroyer and Romano.
PAT - For the PAT, IMO nothing beats Crack PAT. I bought the 10 test package and was averaging about a 19. Everything was just about on par with the actual exam. Definitely use the tutorial time to make up about 10-15 grids for the pattern folding.
RC - So last night after reading a few posts I figured ya know what, just in case, I better look over this piano nonsense. Sure enough after that 15 minute break...BOOM Piano. Best of luck with that passage, especially if you're like me and have zero background in music. The other passages weren't bad but the piano passage consumed a lot of my time so I just used the search and destroy method on the other two.
Math - As you might have guessed I'm pretty awful at math, the best advice I can give is to just go through the math section and do the ones that you know you can do. It stinks to have to guess on a problem that you know how to do just because time is running out. IMO, Crack DAT Math is pretty much on par as well.
I began studying hardcore about four or five weeks ago for about 4-7 hours a day. I don't really recommend locking yourself in a room weeks in advance - try to get some fresh air, go out maybe once a week, a little bit of fun isn't going to hurt you. The day before the test I did some light studying and watched Taken (awesome movie btw)
So as far as the DAT goes that's really about it...my GPA is a 3.61 and my sci GPA is a 3.6. I finished undergrad in just three years and now have some nice time off. I was toying with the idea of a retake, but let me know what you guys think about my chances at schools in and around NYC (yeah yeah i know my scores are too low for Columbia). Thanks again guys, best of luck to those of you still studying for your exam.
