First time posting but long time lurker. I just wanted to thank everyone that posted on this forum, it really helped motivate me to study (Thanks sfoksn- your story was truly inspirational) and helped gauge where I stood. I really liked reading people's breakdown and hence here is my breakdown.
So here are my scores:
PA: 25 (99%)
QR: 24 (99%)
RC: 21 (77%)
Bio: 20 (88%)
GC: 23 (95%)
OC: 24 (96%)
TS: 22 (95%)
AA: 22 (97%)
I am HAPPY about my scores. All that hard work finally paid off. So here's my story. Started studying last spring quarter and probably studied maybe 1-3 hours a day. I wasnt that focused because I didnt set a date and I had classes and other stuff I needed to do. Then during summer, I amped up my studying and started studying 6-10 hours a day for about a month. Remember, to take breaks! The last couple of days Ive been studying 10+ hours and I felt super tired and was getting headaches, so take breaks.
Breakdown (pretty similar with everyone elses):
PA: CDP, ACHIEVER, TOPSCORE- I thought the PAT was easier than all of these. Achiever is way too hard, Topscore and CDP is slightly harder. For CDP, I bought the ten version. Started out getting 18s and then towards the end I was getting 21-24s.
QR: ACHIEVER, TOPSCORE. I didnt buy the math destroyer because Im naturally good at math. I was doing fine on Achiever and Topscore, so I didnt feel the need to buy it. There were few word problems but not that much, I finished about 5 minutes earlier and tried to redo the ones I was unsure of.
RC: ACHIEVER, TOPSCORE: I thought I would do bad on the section because Achiever and Topscore made me feel horrible. But, maybe I got lucky, but the passages were not bad. I got two easy passages and 1 hard passage. No piano, thank god!
Bio: CLIFFS AP BIO, KAPLAN BB, DAT DESTROYER, ACHIEVER, TOPSCORE: Went through cliffs about 4 times. Kaplan I took notes and reviewed that about 5 times. The bio was really random, like everyone said. I ended up getting so much taxonomy stuff. But the bio imo was easier than ACHIEVER AND TOPSCORE.
GC: KAPLAN BB, DAT DESTROYER: When I began studying, I thought this would be my worst section, but go through Kaplan and understand it. Then go through destroyer. Destroyer is way harder and maybe a little too much but its good because it keeps you prepared.
OC: Kaplan BB, DAT DESTROYER, COLLEGE TEXTBOOK: I did really well in Ochem in my school but it has been over a year since I have taken it. So, I went through these books to refresh my memory. Id say my college textbook was most helpful because I read that whole book during the school year and I just reviewed it.
