I took the dat today and here is the breakdown.
Sec/SS/Percentile

Ac. Avg./21/ 93.0
I was very happy with my scores. I have been studying for two and a half months for 6-8hrs a day during the week. It was good to see it pay off.
BIO- Kaplan Blue Book, Dat Destroyer, and BIO textbook. While taking the test I thought for sure I got a 15 on this section. There were some random questions, but most all of the question I could narrow down to two choices automatically.
Gen Chem- Kaplan Blue Book. Almost entirely conceptual, any calculations were just plug in the numbers. Practice, practice, practice.
O Chem- Dat destroyer to review, but honestly I learned it all in class. I had a great teacher that prepared me for the DAT.
PAT- Crack the Dat PAT!!!!! I bought the five tests and scored: 23, 20,21,22,24.
Reading Comprehension- I used kaplan's mapping strategy and it worked great for me. I got the "dreaded" piano passage, but I liked it. Kaplan practice tests and Top Score helped me pace myself.
QR-Kaplan, Destroyer, and Top Score. I just did as many practice problems as I could. It's all about speed, and what you can get done. I left the last problem blank.
I am pleased with my scores. I have a 3.62 GPA overall and a 3.4 science. I think I am pretty competetive, but I do not have any research becuase I am a non-traditional student. Do you think that will effect my chances at all?
