VCU is my #1 as I'm a VA resident.

More about the test.

I was lucky enough to get a pencil and paper instead of the dry erase board so I was very happy about that. I got there around noon and my test was scheduled for 1230 but they let me start right away.

Bio - I was freaking out during the test because there were about 5 or 6 questions that I initially had no idea about. Then I saw the FRAP question and freaked out a little more because of what was apparently waiting when I got to RC. Fortunately I had some time at the end to go back and look over the answer choices, and I narrowed them down to 2 and I guess I got lucky picking the right one.

GChem - very straightforward, only one or two tricky ones

OChem - I found this to be the most fair section of the test. I'm really not sure what I got wrong here.

PAT - not bad, everything was pretty fair, the hole-punching was kind of a mix between crack and kaplan, I would say I had about 8-10 normal ones and the rest were a bit tricky.

RC - As you know, I had the FRAP passage, but I really didn't think it was that bad. I finished the other two passages with about 25 minutes to go using my own method which is mainly search and destroy, with a little reading. I finished the RC section with about 3 minutes left.

QR - this section was actually pretty difficult, I think the key is to keep moving and not get stuck on questions that will take too long. If you can tell that its going to be difficult, pick an answer, mark it, and move on.

My materials:

I did the Kaplan Course and used Topscore and Crack PAT. I also had DAT audiolearn but I didnt find that very helpful. I'll post my practice test scores later. I'm having a big party tonight and I'm so happy to be able to tell all my friends that I won't have to take it again. Thanks to everyone on this board for helping me out, it really means a lot.

VCU is also my # 1 choice. 😀

Whoa! You managed to do that good with only kaplan course material for studying? No Destroyer or Cliffs AP Bio or any of that?

Mad respect man!

Awesomme scores!! Now enjoy your party and the rest of the summer, you lucky duck 😀

Congratulations on the scores....go have some fun 2nite👍

I'm also glad that someone else did well with Kaplan as their main source of study material!

Yeah just Kaplan, Topscore, and Crack. I felt like Kaplan was great for Ochem and Gchem. The Bio did scare me a little bit, and there were definitely some questions that weren't exactly covered by Kaplan bio, so some might want to supplement Kaplan bio with something else but I was able to infer things from what I had learned and make an educated guess.

Party Time!:hardy:

Hey everyone, I know there are a lot of questions but I'm off to party, I'll get back to everyone in the morning. Have a good night and don't study too hard! 🙂

Damn, people are killing the DAT this year. Good work everybody!

Yeah, this is definitely the first person, other than me, that said Kaplan was their main study aid and they still performed well on the exam.

Congratulations!

Great job. This year is much better than the previous year where not to many did this well. You are for sure in. Awesome

Hey man, I just noticed that you have taken your test today too. Congrats. You got that one 18 like me. Mine is on RC and yours is on QR. The rest is all beautiful 20 and 20+. Congrats and good luck

congragts!!!

im using same study materials. kaplan book, CDP, and Top Score. i praying i do as well as you 🙂

Thanks everyone for your support. I'm so relieved to be done now that I don't know what to do with myself. You mean I don't have to study tonight? Sweet. But I won't forget about SDN and how everyone here helped me out so I will try to return the favor. One question I have ... do my scores automatically get sent to AADSAS and then to the schools or is there something else I need to do?

could you post your CRACK DAT PAT scores please

Test 3 - 19

Actually there are a lot. I'm one of them. 🙂

while I was taking Kaplan course. Yet I did not have time to change my study methods.

If you know the materials from textbooks, Kaplan test materials are good enough for practice and time management skill.

If you are learning the stuff then Kaplans is no way enough by itself. However if you already know the stuff from before than using Kaplans may be enough simply because all the stuff that kaplan is missing or wrong about is fine because you know it anyways.

Did you take your DAT in Falls Church by chance? Mine's in a week and I'd love to know if I will also get pencil and paper!!!
