Ok, so I am not as smart as I thought I was. Apparantly I don't know how to read? I tried the find the answer in the passage technique and it just didn't work for me today. My advice: Don't do that! I was scoring in the 20s on practices. But ya its a lot different in the actual test. Everything else was about as expected except I don't know what happened in Gen Chem. If you have any questions let me know...

I think I might retake it due to the low reading, math and g.c. scores... what do you guys think?

Tough call. But I would retake because of the RC.

What kind of schools were you hoping to get into? You could always call them and ask. IMO, if you are pretty confident your sciences won't go down at all, I think you should take it again. Practice lots of QR and RC in the mean time, it looks like you have done a great job so far with the sciences.

Overall, good job on the sciences, and I'm sorry to say that you ought to consider the retake.

Yeah, personally I think that your RC score sticks out but I don't think schools care about your QR score. It's just a bummer because unfortunately, many schools do look at the RC with a lot of weight (correlates with NDBE scores!) so that may be the one reason to retake. You should be commended on your BIO and OC scores🙂! That accomplishment shouldn't be overlooked, and your AA and TS scores aren't "outrageously" bad either. Good luck with everything and don't get discouraged!

Thanks, and I didn't really practice reading except for the practice tests where I was averaging 20s. I used the destroyer and kaplan blue book for everything. I Think the destroyer was right on in everything. Again, not sure what happened in gen chem, thought i did a lot better. Math I knew wasn't going to be so hot, but I didn't know what to expect there. Reading, I don't know what the best strategy is. But if I did it again, I would practice reading the passage thouroughly and then answering the questions as best I could. I dont know if it'll work, but i sure think it'll work a lot better than my find the answer in the paragraph technique. I maybe found 2 directly in the passages. I think I'm gonna retake in three months but I'll probably call the schools and see first. I applied to about 10 schools so...

oh and I laughed at that thread that was made about the destroyer sucking. It was absolutely vital for me. Hopefully in the future they'll add a reading section ha ha

I think that your science scores are good enough to get in but if it were me I would seriously consider retaking the test due to the RC score. Many schools look at this section as one of the most important schools. Also many schools have cut offs for any section below a certain level. Best of luck to you in whatever you decide to do.
