Just got back from the DAT, I did pretty well, but I'm very unsettled by my score because I'm not sure if it's good enough to get me into the west coast schools I want.

Just a little background on me. I quit my job as a mechanical engineer after 2.5 years to pursue dentistry because the Office Space style life made me miserable. I have been trying to get out to the west coast for any possible reason since I first graduated in 2008. I intend to apply to pretty much every single school in California + Colorado and of course all my in-state schools (Illinois).

I guess the one question I have is, with these stats, do I have a solid shot of getting into any of these west coast schools, or should I consider re-taking it?

DAT Scores:
PAT - 23
QR - 20
RC - 21
Bio - 21
GC - 23
OC - 19
Total Science - 21
Academic Avg - 21

Other Stats:
GPA - 3.71 (2 semesters of prerequisites)
BSME GPA - 2.97 (engineering)

looking back on my post, i sound stressed. probably because i wrote it right after taking the exam, ha.

anyway, my preferred schools would be UCSF UoP UCLA

i was looking through my ASDA book earlier today and i realized i'm in decent shape to at least get interviews. i just kinda wanted that extra little oomph to ensure something at the top of my list, na' mean? but whatever, i'm content.

thanks for the feedback guys!
