Hey all,

My Scores:

PAT - 24 (although there was a test glitch..more explanation below)
QR - 17 🙁
Bio - 18 🙁 (Thought it would be my best section..but it was hard)
GC - 21
OC - 22
RC - 22 🙂

TS - 20
AA - 20

Real Test Thoughts:

PAT: Expected this score. I've always been pretty good with shapes so the PAT came pretty easy for me, my only PAT studying was taking the practice tests. I might have gotten a higher score, but on one of the cube counting series (questions 68-70 for me) the picture was messed up..half the cubes were floating and there were lines going through other cubes. I wrote my concern in the survey at the end of the test..what do you think happens now? Will my score be adjusted?

QR: Was getting 18-19 on TopScore, but got hit with story problems questions 1-7, which totally threw me off. Ended up wasting to much time.

Bio: I knew that bio was going to be random thanks to SDN, so I studied outside the normal material as well as the usual stuff, but the test questions were random material that was not the random material I studied. Biology is my favorite section, dissapointed in my score, but I felt like you had to really know all your bio or at least get lucky and get questions you happen to know.

GC: Wasn't too bad. I think it was easier then TopScore and Kaplan. I think I only had 3 calculation problems, which I probably got wrong, they weren't the easy ones. Mostly concept based questions.

OC: Even easier then GC. Straight forward questions. Make sure you know all your basic reactions and basic rules (i.e. o/p vs. m, activating vs. deactivating, more acidic vs. more basic, etc.) I did horrible in college Ochem, but did well on the test 🙂.

RC: This score was unexpected. I've lived in the US a long time, pretty much grew up here, but still struggle with misunderstanding inference and things that aren't just true or false. Definately a welcome surprise.

My Questions:

I initially was going for civil engineering when I got to college, actually went 2 years and even had an internship, but hated most of it. I knew I had a job lined up after I finished and I hated taking all those engineer/math classes, so I slacked in school and pretty much took classes just to pass. (Lotsa C's and B's, even got a D and had to retake). I've raised my GPA quite a bit since I switched and have gotten good grades in my pre-dent classes (except Ochem II, classs of death), but will schools actually take a good look at my situation, or will I get judged on my D's and overall GPA which includes engineering classes?

My AADSAS GPA - Total (3.41), Science (3.25, this includes all my math and engineering classes), BCP (3.59), nScience (3.80)

Also, will I be getting in anywhere with my DAT scores or is the Bio and QR section just too low? I live in Washington and have applied to all private schools anywhere near the west coast (also UW)..along with some private schools on east coast like Tufts and Creighton. LU is my, just give it a try school.

Please give me your honest opinions, I can take it 🙂 Thanks
IF you have any questions for me, feel free to ask and I will try my best to answer.

They review as a whole, you are more at an advantage then the rest since you do have a different background then most of us. Majority of us are pure bio majors while you have both which is a plus. Also your scores are fine to get interviews so you shouldn't worry too much.
