Hi everyone,
I'm asking you SDN'ers for any information leading to and insight into my chances at dental schools with these scores, especially at BU, UNLV, NYU, and UOP and maybe UCSF(my bro graduated from UCSF dental last year). Sub-3.0 at top public university with notorious Molec Cell Bio major as non-traditional student. Minimum dentist shadowing and EC and no research experience. Any thoughts?

Studied for 2 1/2 month taking DAT for the 1st time. Started out easy(3-5 hrs/day while working) and going nuts past week and a half after quitting my job(13-4 hr/day ,seriously). Finishing up my app by tomorrow and e-submit early next week. I am considering re-taking to be more competitive in 3 months, Nov. Will dental school consider my new scores for admission purpose for this cycle? Any inputs appreciated!

Nice scores. I wouldn't op for a retake, but if you feel that it's necessary. I would definitely call to double check. QR is the least important section, but some of the schools, like UOP have cut-offs.

I have very similar scores, 18 RC, 16 QR, with a 21 TS. Our reading score hurts more than the QR. It's like 37 percentile. I called UOP and they said 16 QR is fine but 18 RC is a little low. They also said we probably wont get first round interviews but might get 2nd.
