qr: 16:scared:
rc: 19
bio:22
chem:20
ochem :21
pat :21
AA:20
TS:21

GPA 3.6; science gpa 3.7

should i retake my dats? because of the QR score?

science: all i can say: destroyer was the best. esp. for bio. wroth investing 150$$
RC: all sceience: whew: cancer, dna array and learning

qr: this section was impossible. questions asked with the amount of time given... ...

pat: CRACK dat pat: the $100.00 one was sufficient enough i think.

i've used kaplan, topscore and achiever. i think alot of the questions esp. for bio came from achiever and destroyer. chem was pretty simple calculations. nothing hard. very little concept problems.
ochem: i dont' really remember but i just remember being pretty simple. kaplan and destroyer was sufficient for this section too

do i need to retake it again?? advice please =)

Man, it is just me or is the norm getting exactly what your scores are (which are great btw!). I know this is a small percentage of dental students but I'm beginning to get a little worried that 20 might be the new 18.

Looks great! I wouldn't retake. QR isnt important and you have a good gpa. No worries. Relax for the rest of the summer!

It may not seem like it because of syntax of the sentence, but that's a very bold statement. There is a huge difference between getting an 18 and a 20. I looked at your thread but didn't see any data about previous cycles average dat scores on sdn (this however would mean that you sit on sdn for months fine combing everyone's record and archived threads, which would be ridiculous). I just mentioned the above comment because when I joined sdn last year in July, i recall people getting 20's, although a lot less frequently. Maybe 2 out of 5 dat score postings would be 20+ and the rest would be < 20. Whatever the case, I still hope outside the sdn community an 18-19 can still be seen as a respectable and competitive score.

i looked over some schools. u of p's minimum is a 17 for all sections does that mean i have like no chance of getting an interview with my QR score???

but im afraid that if i retake it... my scores wont' be as good (like my science). and u of p expects grades to be in by September....hhah which i can't do=p

do u think they will overlook my QR score since my AA is at least a 20??

What do you mean UoP expect scores by september??

I would call UOP and ask...only they can tell you for sure. Make sure to let them know your strong in every other subject though.

oh.. haha my bad, i read it wrong. i thought there was something weird about it .. its a preference. it said:
The Dental Admissions Test (DAT) is available on almost any day of the year at any Prometric Center. Preference for admission is given to students who provide DAT scores no later than September for the entering class of the following July. To receive an application, please contact the American Dental Association (ADA) Department of Testing at 800.621.8099.

Thank you guyss so bottom line i most likely shouldn't retake it??

You apparently are not on SDN much. Bruin combed all posts from the last month plus and compiled averages etc..

She is very devoted, and pretty clever.

yeah she is.

i just called the schools that were most important to me and told me i didn't have to retake it! =) thank god!

Thank you!!

Nice!

But, I hope the 'she' is not me because I'm a 23 years old male who loves bodybuilding. 😛

how about reading section, what is the min for that section? 17?

on their website they said 17. and they confirmed that when i called them today. but i think they look at ur entire AA and TS scores too. they said because mine was decent.. my QR was fine

You apparently did not read my post because i said that bruinlove does not have the dat averages from previous years. I am fully aware that he has averages from this cycle.
