I just took my DAT an Hour ago, not so great on QR - 15 : (, time was the biggest factor
but my DAt break down is
BIO - 20
CHEM - 20
ORG - 20
PAT - 20
RC - 17
QR - 15 🙁

AA18/TS20/PAT20, my overall GPA 3.65, science GPA 3.68

So, do I have a chance? most school have a cutoff for under 15, but is QR that important or the determining factor for admission

QR is not an important factor, although the 15 will raise eyebrows no doubt.

RC aside you got consistent 20 in everything. If you have good stats in everything else, your chances are good.

If you aren't applying this cycle however, you should think about a retake to boost RC and QR.

20 flat is good, but not high to the point where you can't reproduce them or do better your 2nd time around. QR isn't important, but RC is pretty important and you should aim for a 19 at least. Good luck.

Then, just don't worry about it. Call up the schools you're applying to and make sure they accept 15 QR, 17 RC, and 18 AA. But I think you'll probably get an interview or two if you have the GPA to go with it.

Do not worry too much. The QR section does not really count anyway.

You will be fine, especially with that GPA.

What were your passages on?

Thanks for the moral support, my passage was on 1. Fiber Optics, 2. Prions and 3. Genetics
