Took the DAT this week and I'm unsure about how I feel about my scores. I'm entering my junior year so I definitely have time to retake if need be. What do you guys think? Are these good enough? (I'm worried about the science scores..)

PAT 23
QR 23
RC 24
Bio 19
GChem 18
OChem 22
TS 19
AA 21

I appreciate the feedback - thanks =]

I don't think you need to unless you are aiming for top schools. I would, however, call up the schools you are interested in and check with them. :xf:

Those are great scores. Good job. I don't think you should risk the other scores for gchem.

I would be HAPPY with that score although I want all my science 20+.

What is your science GPA? If it's pretty high, I wouldn't worry about it at all. Even if it's not, these are pretty good scores.

As of now, Science is a 3.72 overall is a 3.79.
I guess my biggest fear is a committee thinking "eh she's a pretty good applicant but these scores could have been a little better.." I don't want the science to hold me back. I guess it's hard to determine if it will or not though.

Not too sure you would have to worry about that. I'm in nearly the same boat with 21 AA and 22 PAT. My RC was 24, GC was 18.

GPA's are similar as well. These are great scores. Unless of course you are shooting for the top like Columbia or UCSF.

The only concern I would have would be the BIO. But with a good GPA of 3.72 (I presume the AADSAS version) you should be ok.

Your GPA is higher than the average enrollee GPA for most schools and 19's are average enrollee scores according to last year's stats (but they are going up every year). I wouldn't be worried. Good job!

retake, in my opinion. Your scores are WAY too low for the average applicant. Sorry bro. Maybe next time

I would not retake it. Apply first and see what happens. You will never know. Also, if you have some experiences, you will be fine. :xf: Good luck!

I hope you are joking about this; if not, you don't know much about the AA percentiles. It all depends what you are aiming for. You will still very likely get into dental school with these scores. If there are certain schools that you would like to go to, you may want to check with them.
