DAT done..I need help

Hey guys,

it is my first time to post thread but I always visit here and thank you for all the information that posted on here.

First of all, I took DAT like 1 hour ago.

Bio:19
GC:21
OC:20
PAT:22
QR:16 ------------------- Im shocked. I used get like around 21
RC:13


I dont know what happened, I used practice with TOP Score, I used get 19-21

NOW Im stuck. I dont know what to do.

I thinkt that I should retake the exam since RC is TOO low I guess.

I need your ADVICES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

If I reschedule the exam on october, which is 3months from now,

how do I send score? what happend to previous score that I got?

I filling out application now, I will finish by this week.

If Im gonna retake exam, is application still processing?

Im so confused now. I am in pain now.


Please help me!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

You HAVE to retake. The RC is too low. Comb through the threads on this website to see the best resources in which to use and go at it ASAP. You can send in your stuff and tell the schools that you are taking the DAT later - but you have to perform well. Good luck.

Did you get the piano passage?
Your original score will be on your primary application and you have to pay ADEA to send the new ones as well. Your original score will always be with you. Your application doesn't have to wait for your new test score. On the DAT section of your app, put your scores and indicate that you are taking it later as well. Schools will receive your application and hold it until they receive new scores.

I got Piano which I did not get it.

I did not concentrated on reading that much, I was thinking sciences.

how am I suppose to study??

honestly, im not trying to be mean, but it sounds like you may need to work on your english skills or something. I've never seen somebody score a 13 on RC before

You have great TS and PAT scores. Even though your QR is below avg... dental schools will sometimes ignore them. However, your RC score is WAYYYY too low. You will definitely have to retake it. Good luck and study hard!

I have never got this score before.

I used get 20 on Top Score, I just dont know what happened.

what materials did you guys use for math and reading?

Well the piano one is just one of those....YA WHAT CAN YOU DO situation. I am sorry to say this to you but you NEED to retake due to your RC score. I had the piano too on mine and I too was like.. WTH is this!!!! I know how you feel

to the OP: For my 2nd test, i wrote down the keyword of questions not the paragraph. It bumps me from 15 to 20.

What problems were u having while taking the RC section - was the passage confusing or something?

First passage I got is piano.

while I was practicing kaplan or top score, I just check first question and read and find the answer. There was no problem, I used to get like 19 or 20.

but when I first had piano, it was confusing, mayme I did not get what they are talking about. it was hard for me.

so time was ticking and I had to look the other passage, so I just went over.

I am so worrying about retaking exam. I am worrying that I can get better score on next exam.

Usually, I am good at math even though I dont like word problem.

Im so confusing how to study for next exam
