Thanks SDN! Just took my DAT and these are the scores I received:

PAT: 20
QR: 20
RC: 19
Bio: 21
GC: 20
OC: 19 🙁
TS: 20
AA: 20

Overall I did not think the test was really hard. I just did not have enough time to study. I did not think the bio section was random. However the GC and OC had some questions not taught by chad or the destroyer. PAT was easier than the CDP because I was getting an 18 consistently. I got an 8 on the RC when I took the practice online dat 2 days before my exam so I am flabbergasted by the 19. I did not study for the QR so I am happy with that as well.

I think I am happy with my scores. I studied for a month and took 9 summer credits. My GPA is 3.96 BCP 3.90. I applied to 5 schools. Do I have a shot? I ask this because I was hoping to get an AA of 21 which seems to be the average. And I am applying for this cycle.

I don't know if you guys want a breakdown since my AA isn't that high. However if anyone wants to ask something I will be happy to help.🙂

I think your high BCP GPA makes up for your TS. Also, why are you applying to so few schools? More would be safer.

I am applying to 5 schools because I want to stay in the tri-state area (VA,MD,DC) or TX, so Howard, Maryland, VCU, Baylor and Houston.

I am worried because my friend with a 27AA got rejected to Howard. I thought it would be my safety net. Also I have Asian parents who when seeing my 90 percentile said I should have gotten a 100 percentile.

Don't worry about Howard. I think it's mainly for URMs.
You have great scores. Good job.

Your parents are jackwagons.

90th Percentile means only 9.99% scored better than you. Run the numbers. That's maybe 1000 people? How many seats are there in the nation?

As for the friend who got rejected with a 27AA, he surely did something himself to cause that. Meaning = interview screwed up!

Be yourself, relax and roll with what happens. Worst you can do is hype this up so much that you crack and do poorly on the interview!

:scared:

Thanks guys for all your support!!!!🙂 I feel soo much better now. As for my friend I think threechins is right because it wasn't an interview screw up because she never got invited lol, but she got into all the ivy dental schools(Harvard, Columbia, etc) including VCU and Maryland. I think Howard does that a lot because another volunteer at my dentist applied there with a 23AA and never got an interview call. The only thing they contact everyone about is submitting that $70 application fee and then after some time has passed reject them.
