Hey everyone, so I took my DAT last week for the second time and here are my scores.

PAT- 15
QR- 16
Reading - 19
Biology - 18
Gen Chem - 25
OC - 21
TS- 20
AA - 20

So I'm a Business major and just graduated and a bio minor. And my
non science GPA is 3.74
science - 3.34
overall - 3.55

I applied this cycle to 13 some schools and I was wondering if I should retake the DAT to improve in PAT and QR but I can't take it until end of October. Should I retake and submit my scores or no?

Thank you!

The general consensus is that every score should be atleast 17+.

PAT and QR may hold you back, but if you would really want to retake I think it would be too late in the cycle.

If anything wait it out and see what happens and plan a retake for the next cycle.
Just my opinion though, others may have different experiences with it.

The PAT is going to hold you back. QR isn't nearly as important as other scores, they just want to see you can do most math problems. The PAT is said to be a strong indicator of how well a dental student will do in clinical. It might be worth it to retake to up that PAT score. Or, if you get an interview, think of a great way to explain the low score. Best of luck sir!
