DAT done today!

I am very disappointed because I needed a high score to offset my low GPA...

PAT 21
QR 16 😡...I thought I did much better
RC 19
BIO 18 :scared:...very disappointed, very random questions and it took me some time to settle down in the beginning
GC 20
OC 21
TS 19 (83%)
AA 19 (85%)

Overall GPA: 3.0
Science GPA: 2.8
Graduate GPA: 3.7

Any advice? Which schools should I definitely apply to? My application is already in and now working on secondaries.

QR is the least most important section, don't worry about it. Are you a CA resident, if so apply to all the state schools.

Also, where did u get your Masters?

I believe UCLA has a cutoff of 17 for each section of the DAT. But I wouldn't stress, your stats overall aren't bad. You've shown improvement with your graduate GPA.

Thats for the admission comittee to decide, you high masters gpa should offset the low undergrad gpa.

All the expensive private schools: Tufts, NYU, BU, USC...don't bother with Case, Indiana, or Nova - I believe your GPA is below their cutoff. Hopefully one of them gives you a shot. You might have to retake, but keep the hope alive.

All of my apps are complete. Received 2 rejections from MWUs because my "science" GPA did not meet the cut off. I am feeling very anxious, maybe it's a side effect from reading SDN. Do I have a chance at all this cycle?

I thought their cut off was 2.75?? don't you have 2.8? (maybe your BCP is below 2.75?)

To me that is so stupid. If the goal is to accept the strongest applicant why wouldnt they wave your science gpa in order to give you an interview.
You have taken graduate coursework, which is prob more difficult than undergrad and out performed most undergrads (gpa wise). It's too bad that gpa is haunting you.

My science GPA is 2.8, but my BCP is below 2.75. When Midwestern U. says they have a science GPA cutoff at 2.75, they mean BCP.

ooo i never knew about that. thanks for the info. so your science classes from your masters didn't count in for BCP? my undergrad school does have some grad-level classes which are like immunology so i thought it would count in as a bcp..

It did count for BCP, but my overall BCP did not make the cut.
