What do you think:

PAT 19
OCHEM 20
BIO 19
GCHEM 17
RC 17
QR 14 UGH!!!
TS 19
PAT 19
AA 17

What are my chances of getting in? I applied to 18 schools, my nonscience gpa is a 3.92, science gpa is a 3.78 and overall is a 3.83. I was an honor student, with over 50 hours of shadowing and this year I am working in a dental lab. What are my chances for at least an interview and chances of getting in?
Any help would be appreciated.

Also,
I had a few of the bio questions on my test that people were talking about. I thought gchem was really hard and I am good at chemistry. the deforrested question was on there, the formic acid question and some others. The ochem was really easy, but I aced both of those classes and love ochem.

The reading part was a breeze, I thought I got every question right except for the ones where they ask what the other is saying and stuff. I have NO idea what went wrong here.

QR, please tell me this wont stop me from getting into dental school. I felt 100% sure that I had at least 20 questions right, I ran out of time, and to be honest I hate math and havent had any since calculus I four years ago. It was easy math, but I didnt even get to try on about 12 questions due to time. I must be slow.

My practice scores:

Topscores I was averaging 20's in science and 17 in math, 18's in reading and 18 in PAT

Achiever

Science scores were about 16 and 17 average. But my PAT was a 19 average and my reading I even hit a 20 on test 3 and QR I got an 18 on all of them.

So, I dont know what happened with my scores in QR and RC but hopefully my sciences and PAT will get me in...what do you all think?

Oh, my reading passages were the ones everyone has been talking about, herbal medicine, magnesium and something else, I thought they were easy seriously, I know my scores dont show it, but they were.

Thanks
Shane

One more thing.

I was pissed at the biology questions. I had all of the kaplan study cards, all of the topscore and Achiever tests, i read kaplan multiple times and knew so many things that simply didnt show up. Kaplan is not enough, i had to deductively reason to figure out many answers from knowledge I had from previous classes. It was really hard in my opinion.

my test was similar to yours. did you get many word problems?

Yeah, and the thing is I only have a little over a minute a question. I dont know, i hate that section, but I really hope I can get in.

What were your scores?

Well if both of you "expected" a better grade but end up with way worse ones then maybe there is something wrong with the answer key. I am all serious, unless the questions required intense thinking and analyzing and you fell for the easy looking yet decieving answer.
What were your percentages? Both of you.

What was this question about? Did it have anything to do with pheromones?

i tried searching old posts for that deforrested question and the formic acid - what are those?

Not positive but from my own research I found primary ecological succession is when there is a landslide or lava flow and there is nothing but rock/dirt. Basically it starts form the beginning. An example of secondary ecological succession would be a deforested area possibly by fire or something.

Look up secondary ecological succession on Wikipedia.

I believe the question went something like "Which is an example of secondary ecological succession?"

No idea about the formis acid question but I can only venture to guess that it was something like "Formis acid is used by ants for...."

And the answer would have something to do with pheromones.

the formic acid is about the ant. my scores were similar to yours, but i got few points higher in QR

Maybe you guys should ask them to regrade your test. I think someone else last week had the same test as the both of you.

You send that gen chem was a little tough..what kinda questions did they give you compared to topscore/kaplan.

Regrade? Seriously? Have they ever messed up there grading before? If so, it seems like this is room for some serious liability!

Thanks mansontiles, ive been waiting for someone to answer my original question!

eh, i dont think regrading is the thing to do here... it's more likely that you chose the wrong answer. i think i got the ant/formic acid and the succession questions too and they both seemed like easy freebie questions.
