i have to say..when i say the title of the thread, i was expecting A LOT worse..but i admire ur humor and ur taking it pretty well. minus the math, i think u overall did pretty well.. don't forget the ones that do HORRIBLY dont' post up their scores..so u my friend are on the same boat as me with average DAT scores..and good gpas..although mine isn't a 3.6 like urs..so u stlil have a a chance! just remember. u are DONE!!!! take a breather and then study if u have to ..but wait, u'll never know when u get interviews assuming that ur apps are already in. good luck!

yea, i agree with the others, it definitely took courage to come forth and post your scores, so that others may learn from your mistakes/ experience. Not everyone does well the first time, there are people on these forums do bad the first time around, but do really well the second time, because they know what to expect. Im sure youll do fine next time. 🙂

I am sorry about the score. But in all honesty, you have a nice GPA + EC and your DAT is really not as bad as you think. Although a 12 in QR may hurt you a little bit, you did fairly solid in other sections, and pretty darn well in PAT. Just think about it this way: 17 on AA is the average, and 20 on PAT is well above average - its a really nice score. Add that with your GPA and EC and I think you will have a shot.

Just think about it this way, last year there were 10,000+, with around 4,000+ seats. (Well, a little more this year because of midwestern) Thats means as long as you beat 60% of applicants, you are in.

Also, this years DATs average will most likely be lower than last years due to the difficulty. So all in all, it would actually help with your DAT score. Plus, with the nice GPA and EC I think you should be better than those 60%.

Best of luck!

Thank you guys for your kind words.

I just hope that even with a retake in December I will have a chance at least with my state school or to be put on a waiting list.

Even if your QR had been a 16 instead of your 12, your AA would still have been a 17. At least your QR hasn't lowered down your AA. And a 17 AA and 20 PAT is solid. Unless you are applying to those schools with a cut-off, you did pretty good on the DAT.

thanks dennis... I know, that was the first thing I did when I got out of there. I knew math was going to be bad, but I didn't expect it to be that bad! A couple of the questions were jarbled, but I figured I didn't know how to answer them anyways so I didn't complain.

Has anyone had that problem? I didn't complain to the proctor lady so I guess it is too late to call ADA, right? Anyways, how would they check that?

Ugh. Math, why did you do me in?
