DAT done... retake?

So I took the DAT and I am thinking I'm pretty boarderline. Does anyone know cutoff scores for QR?

Here are my scores
PA - 21
QR - 14
RC - 20
Bio - 20
Gen Chem - 16
O Chem - 19
Total Sci - 18
Acad Avg - 18

I am SO bummed about the QR. I got a 20 for the QR the Saturday before on a Kaplan pretest. I just don't know what happened. Would schools not consider me because of the 14?

Depends on the school. Some schools have a minimum 17 in each section. It seems a lot of people are ending up with relatively low QR scores on these forums, so maybe it's not too bad?

I'd call the schools you're interested in.

The QR score seems a little low.
Your sciences are pretty good.
You should def. call the schools you are intersted in and see how much emphasis is put on the QR section.

I would..but it depends on the school and you as an applicant. Do you have a lot of ECs, a good GPA, are you an underrepresented minority in the field?

These are all aspects that will really help you. Don't be too down because your score is fine. It's not like you got a 15 AA or anything that seems un-fixable. If I were you, I would be kind of mad..but you have a lot of opportunities to make yourself a strong applicant (including a retake). Good luck!!

What were your practice scores in QR? Besides Kaplan that is.. How much time did you put into it?

The Trig threw me off. I was getting 18 - 21 on my practice QR. The real test had about 8 - 10 questions on Trig stuff that I didn't study up on as much. What a blow to the gut... 😡

Let me guess....you got the floating bridges version? I'm trying to warn people about trig, I honestly feel that is what is bringing down the qr scores this year. My 15 qr netted me a 45% which would normally be around 20 or 30 %. Schools will hopefully see that on avearge we are all bombing it together and not put much weight on it.
