I would deff retake because you have time. Your orgo score will deff go down next year tho since it is fresh in your mind right now. I know, since I was almost going to take the test in my junior year and I was scoring better in orgo than I did now. I improved alot tho in everything else. I would purchase crack the dat reading if I was you and work on that. Your score is still above average, but I think you score could go up after another summer of studying. Still, you have great scores that will get you in a dental school, but you want to score a little higher so you have more options. Good luck, and great job so far!

You destroyed the sciences. I honestly would not worry too much since your AA and TS are very good. Since you are going to apply the following cycle, you could retake the DAT if you really wanted to. If you will retake it, try to achieve at least an 18 on the RC and PAT. Do not stress over the QR. I also got a 17 on that section, but the difference is that I can not retake it since I am applying this cycle and it would be too late for a retake.

Otherwise, great job!

What were your passages on?

Your science scores are impressive, it will sure impress the admissions, the TS and AA are great too, they might overlook the other scores which are average, they are sure not below the average!!! It's a difficult decision, maybe I would focus on raising the GPA a bit, get 4.0 for the next 2 semesters instead of studying for DAT all over again. However, I am sure you will get at least 1 interview with that score, so don't worry if you don't feel like retaking it. Good job though!

Btw, how did you study for Gen chem and Ochem? 🙂

Thanks for the input. But yea I am still debating whether I should retake or not. I am really trying to focus on getting a 4.0 my next two semesters. And I hope that will cut it. Magriva, would you mind sharing your scores?

Wow. haha those scores are almost exactly the same. Except your PAT and QR may have made the cutoff for a lot of the places you are applying. Hopefully it goes through for me too.
I am planning on applying to Temple, Pitt, UPenn, Univ. of MD, UMDNJ, NYU, Stony Brook, Columbia, and LECOM.

This isn't final, but good range of where I want to apply.
I am also in PA resident. So hopefully that helps out.

Yes, our scores are almost identical. You will be fine with those scores. Are you a URM? I only applied to schools in Texas. I don't want to go out of state!

No I do not think I am a URM. My parents were born in a different country but I was still born in the US. So I am pretty sure it does not make me a URM, although that would be nice.

And yes, I would like to stay in state ideally as well. And I hope being a PA resident will give me an advantage when applying to those PA dental schools. But we shall see.
