Happy to be done after 2.5 months of studying. This was my retake so I am pretty Happy.
DAT first time: 8/04/08 DAT 2nd times the charm: 8/20/09
PA: 17 ----->23
QR: 17 ----->16
RC: 17 ----->18
Bio: 17 -----> 20
G chem: 21 -----> 23
Orgo: 20 ----->26
TS: 19 ----->22
AA:18 -----> 21
BIO: very straightforward except for a few problems. Kind of rough on those few problems. It has always been the most random section. I used Destroyer, cliffs, top score, achiever, wikipedia.
G Chem: EASSYYYY! I dont know where I got the 2 questions wrong that brought be down to a 23 but eh. This is easier than topscore< way easier than achiever, Destroyer is the best for this section because it was so on target.
ORGO: the most random section on my test. Weird problems that I have never seen before. This has always been my strongest subject. If you know the concepts well in both orgo and g chem than you should not be doing too bad. They really can't trick you very hard on these sections.
The rest of the test was pretty easy except for that fact that I have never been a math guy. Honestly it's not hard, it's the timing.
Sources: Destroyer is what really gave me my science score. It's amazing. I also used cliffs AP BIO (great book for solidifying facts), Kaplan Blue book, Topscore, achiever, and a **** load of Wikipedia. Math destroyer was really good as well. Had a lot of very similar problems on my real test.
My Achiever tests were all 18AA, 19 sciences, 17-18 on PAT
Crack DAT PAT was amazing for the PAT. I had so many replica problems on my real test. 19-23 I average about a 21 on every test though. Real test is easier so don't worry about it. I thought the only hard part on PAT from the real test was the pattern folding. Everything is pretty simple especially cube counting, you shoul not be getting any wrong in cube counting.
My Top score all 3 AA were 21 so I thought it was very realistic to the real test disregarding math and reading becasue they are way easier on topscore. TOPscore test 3 (21/22/23) exactly the same as the real test.
Finally, I am just overal nervous about math. I know people here have had some toruble with it but I dont know what to do about it now. Do you think that it will be ok?
I am a NY resident, 3.5 GPA, 3.1 sGPA, over 400 hours of volunteering in dentistry and over 200 hours volunteer in hospitals and elsewhere.
thanks for the input guys!
