Hello Everyone,
I took the DAT today after spending the entire summer studying.
One thing I am concerned about is my QR

here is the breakdown:
PAT 18
QR 14
RC 15

Bio 17
GC 16
OC 19

TS 17
AA 16

I did poorly on QR. I have above 3.5 total GPA with the above TS and AA. Will this reduces my chances for getting acceptance.
Please help with this info.

A lot of schools require a minimum score to be achieved in each section. A 14-16 might be below the cutoff for some schools, so check that. I honestly would attempt to retake the DAT. Make sure you are using the right materials (Destroyer, Bootcamp, Chads) and you should be able to get a much higher score.

honestly I noticed you asked some pretty basic questions constantly the last few days. If you spent the whole summer studying like you say you did you should have had no problem with those questions. I don't think you would be successful this year, maybe retake the dat and see how that goes?

Your scores are too low; reading comprehension is highly valued by dental schools, and with a 15 many won't even consider giving you an interview. Your GPA is very good, but you must retake the DAT and do better. How did you study, if you don't mind me asking?

I think you should be more concerned about the reading and general chem scores. You should definitely retake. What material did you use to study and what are your study habits?

How many hours per day did you study?

I'd be curious to know what your study habits have been like as well over the course of the entire summer. I know this may not be fun to hear, but you should consider retaking the DAT again.

Look into Crack the DAT QR and Reading Comp, I found the questions on the QR and Reading Comp to be the best practice for my DAT. Use Crash Course on Youtube to help you with pulling up your Bio. (cover anatomy+physiology, and Biology section). I would let them play before I went to bed most nights to refresh my memory on important topics. Keep your head up, believe in yourself, you will do better next time!

WHY DON"T WALK TO HELL AND SHUT THE **** AGAIN. THIS IS NOT YOUR DAM BUSINESS

 hey they're only teasing because your GPA is great and you still have great chances of getting accepted if you retake the test and do well. Some members on here have low GPAs that are all but impossible to recover from and must seriously consider choosing a different career; all you have to do is study another few months and retake a test!

dont feel bad bud, your gpa is great....Just retake the exam and your good to go. Utilize the right methods..

just out of curiosity where did you do your undergrad and what was your major?

Theres a lot of mean posts on here for no reason. But I would encourage you to retake the DAT as others have politely said.

There are some unnecessary comments here but I would definitely do a retake. Your gpa is great but you don't want adcom to wonder how such a great student didn't perform as well on the dat. Try something different in terms of study technique and materials. Sdn has a lot of great posts with materials and how they studied. Remember that efficiency is key when studying....it doesn't matter if you spent an entire summer or even an entire year if you don't study efficiently. Take it from a guy who took the dat 4x. Learn from your mistakes and kill it next time!
