Took the test about 30 min ago. I was expecting to get about 2 points higher in everything, so I am still deciding on whether I should re-take or not.

PAT 17 - I dunno, I thought I did better....
QR 18 - that one I'll take and run with. I thought I was gonna make a 10.
RC 18 - ran out of time and had to guess on a few. Still, thought I'd make higher...
Bio 22 - thought it was pretty good. Chicken Q seemed pretty obvious. PM me those who had it.
GChem 18 - again, was shooting higher...had one wierd nuclear question...conceptual...
Ochem 17 - big blurr...
TS 19
AA 19

Studied for 1st month 5 hours/day everyday, and 2nd month 4hrs a day...Kaplan, Achiever (half). For Bio i supplimented with my notes in Cell, Physiology, Anatomy, Zoology, and Botany. Although I don't recall a single A and P question on the DAT...

My GPA is 4.0, 4 years of research experience with 2 publications, president of a nation bio honor society, leadership, etc....

What's my chance at USC? I really wanted to go to UCLA, but not with that score.... So, any input is welcomed! Ask me more...

Also, who should I call at USC about the score?

Good Bio score, laundry, and overall pretty consistent and should probably be alright given your GPA (which school?). However, I think that for some of the more highly regarded programs, the scores are a bit low. At this point, it's hard to say whether you should take it again, because your next chance will come in October, when a lot of schools will have decided on their invitees for the first wave (unless, of course, you are not applying early). I'd say just go with it if you are applying early, but have some "Plan B" schools on your list.

Well, i wouldn't rule UCLA out just yet. Your gpa is very high, which can compensate your DAT score to some extent. If everything else in your application is good, then i would say you have a decent shot. USC shouldn't be a problem, they have a big class size and PBL and the price tag seems to deter a lot of students. With your stats, that should be almost a shoe-in. If you want to talk to someone, i suggest Ryan Peneda from USC, he is the counselor and he is also on the admissions committee. gl and congrats on finishing that test.

Your GPA should level off the playing field, I would hold off, congrats on being finished

you have a good chance of getting into UCLA...my friend who had a 3.5 GPA and a 18 AA on the DAT got into UCLA last cycle

Congrats laundry! Nicely done...I don't know what stats UCLA is looking for specifically, but I imagine you are good to go with your GPA and ECs. Maybe you could compare your stats to others who have been accepted to UCLA and USC at www.predents.com. Good luck!

Congrats again on being done! I think your gpa is fabulous and like others said it'll help even if your DAT is not as high but I still think it's good. I'm no expert but I think you have a good shot at either of those 2 schools cuz you show taht you can consistently do well (gpa) even if one test from one days performance doesn't speak as strongly. Plus you said you have other good things on you apps too
