I found both QR and RC to be more difficult on the real thing than any of the practice tests that I had done (including Achiever). I was consistently scoring 22-25 on those sections and thought I would do at least that well on the real thing...but oh well.

And for those studying from Achiever, the sciences/perceptual sections are top-notch! If you can do well on those sections, you should do well on the real thing!

While my overall scores could have been higher, I'm overall fairly satisfied with my scores considering that I spent about seven weeks studying for it and that my motivation for studying was not the greatest for moderate stretches of time.

Quick question...are my 18s for QR/RC going to hurt my application that much??? My GPA so far is a 3.87 and I have a lot of extracurrics/volunteering, etc.

Thank you!

What were your sources for study in this 7 weeks? What would you recommend for RC and QR?

Solid GPA and DAT. congrats

Those are some real solid scores. Unless you are hoping to get into some crazy hard schools, I don't think any of your scores will hurt you. Nice work. Enjoy the free world.

thanks everyone!

To answer Ocean5's question:

Study materials:

Bio: Mostly Schaum's
O-Chem: McMurry (my college textbook)
G-Chem: Kaplan
QR: Kaplan
PAT: Barron's

I used practice tests from DAT Achiever (as mentioned above) and TopScore.
