GC Wow about 10 calculations, who ever said its conceptual probably had the easier version!
Good Luck
What were the questions like? Were they setup for you or were the answers just numbers?
This is what I am having the hardest time with right now. My math skills are not very good under pressure, well not very good period. I can do most all the problems I come across in GChem given about 3-4 min/problem (depending on how many calculations), but in the time allowed I totally struggle with simple things like finding the % of a fraction to get the moles ie: 37g/212g/mol = X moles. I get the final answer and its not there, then I look back at my problem and find I have made a stupid math mistake and must recalculate which kills my time.
The problems that are already setup that I have been doing don't seem to be much better for me as my way of doing math to get the correct answer is usually in several steps instead of one big equation. I guess it just takes practice, practice, practice when you are slow like me.
I guess the same goes for QR. My goal is a 16. My first practice test I didn't pay attention to the clock and time was up at question 20, I didn't even bubble in the last 20 questions but I still ended up with a 15 on that section. I think my strategy is to choose "B" on all the ones I can't quickly calculate, get all the ones I know how to do done, then go back and start working on the longer ones.
BTW, I am assuming choosing any answer A-D for the ones you are guessing on all have the same odds, that is as long as you are consistant through the entire section or test? I have just seen people say choose "C" and move on so I wanted to see what you guys thought.
