I finally took the DAT on Aug 14th after many weeks of studying... I haven't really posted too much on SDN but I definitely learned a lot and got some helpful tips from you guys so thank you!! I really appreciate it!
These are my scores:
Pat- 18
QR- 17 🙁
Reading- 22
Orgo- 30 :laugh:- I couldn't believe it!!!
Chem- 30 :laugh:
Bio- 21
AA- 24
TS- 26

I still can't believe I got two 30s... I was just hoping to get in the 20s!! My advice to anyone taking the DAT is to buy the destroyer. It's really awesome... I honestly attribute my success in the sciences to the destroyer. If you don't have it yet, get it!! I used kaplan and achiever also but destroyer was by far the biggest help. I think Achiever was good for the pat because you can rotate the different images. But I think the Achiever was much harder than the DAT in the sciences. I thought kaplan was good for reading. I was scoring much higher in QR in both kaplan and achiever but for some reason QR was extremely difficult and very time consuming!! I could barely finish it during the actual DAT! I hope this helps!! If anyone has any specific questions or advice for the DAT, don't hesitate to ask!!!

sick scores man, we are both in the same boat totally destroying the sciences and then getting worked in PA and QR (except I got 17's in both of those)

Hmm, this post looks suspicious. I was under the impression that if you were to get a perfect score on any section you would get a 29 and not a 30. However, if you were to get a perfect score on multiple sections you would get a 29 on the first and a 30 on every perfect section after that. How is it possible for you to have two 30's and no 29's?

na its possible I got a 30 in orgo on mine and it does read 100%

or wait I got a 30 on orgo and a 29 in bio.....so is that true??? I'm very confused I just figured I missed a question in bio...

Oh and people please don't post responses accusing the OP of advertising for destroyer. It's getting pretty annoying.

Sources. It is impossible to get a 30 on a section without getting a 29 on another section. It is sort of like a slight downward curve, just like in bowling. A strike can count for 30 (max) but usually doesn't unless you get the strikes in a row.

Yes, exactly. A 29 and 30 are the same exact thing, but a 29 is awarded for the first perfect score and a 30 for the second perfect score. Look at your score sheet again. It should say 99.9% or 100% for the 29 and 30.

The OP is clearly lying. I guess not many people know about how the DAT awards 29's and 30's so it is easy to make up scores and say you got two 30's and no 29's. The OP's scenario is impossible. I don't know why so many people on SDN find it hard to believe someone will lie about their scores. It happens all the time, and people have been caught red handed. Not just this OP, but also others who I will not name.

yeah it says 99.9 for the 29 and 30 100.0 for the orgo...this is very interesting, I thank you =)

Congrats on doing really well on the DAT!!! the DAT Destroyer is right on the money. It's the best thing out there for the DAT right now.

Too bad the highest score you can get in organic is a 29!!!!! My brother got it and that is 100%, you can't make a 30. I don't understand why destroyer has so many people post fake scores and say it was all b/c of the destroyer. The destroyer is good but its not that good.

This means that the OP's scores are fake! If it were real he would have gotten a 29 & 30 instead of a 30 & 30. I can't believe ppl are still congradulating this clown. Well there goes SDN for you; another day, another fake DAT score.

I'm new to this forum...so does this mean I shouldn't believe most of the posts on here?

I was absolutely amazed to see someone get both 30's in chems!

Congrats on scores!

It relieves me to see how good destroyer is since i'm hitting the destroyer harder then any other study material.

no you really can get a 30 in orgo however, what is up for debate is if you need to get a 29 in a section before that to score a 30 in orgo.

Yeah I scored in the 100 percentile in orgo and my score was a 29. Maybe it was that version but i dont think there is a version where you can get a 30 in both chemistrys. I may be wrong though so who knows lol.

I honestly have better things to do with my free time than make up my scores... You can choose to believe me or not, but I promise Iim not lying.... Where did you even hear that you can't get two 30s?

Thank you for those of you who actually believe me... It's kind of sad that some of you think that I'm lying...My friend told me about SDN while I was studying for the DAT and I went on it occasionally and the advice I got from some of you really helped me out. So I decided that after I take my DAT, I'll do the same and explain what helped me. I honestly don't care if you don't believe me but for those of you who do, I'm more than happy to answer any questions you might have. (Hopefully I can answer them)

It is unfair for people to call your scores fake if they are not...prove them all wrong and post a scan of your scores online...

I was just about to do that. On second thought.. here it is:

Man has 5 posts and the only thing he says of substantial value in his post is about DAT Destroyer.

Guys, I am new to this SDN and I am also planning on taking dat soon. I saw that most people use kaplan, cliffs, barrons, achiever, destroyer and other topscore pro tests. I bought kaplan already but i think it isnt enough so any suggestions on which ones to buy. I looked for destroyer but found that it was quiet expensive. The ap cliffs is only for bio or only for individual sections? I couldnt even find the right one on amazon, also need help with other ones. Any help will be appreciated. thanks in advance

i used odyssey at first and i thought it helped a bit but it really is overkill for the DAT. but then again if you can do those then you'll be fine for the real thing.
