My GPA is about 3.84, and I want to get into University of Michigan (Michigan permanent resident (not a citizen of US, but get a tuition reduction).

I am worried about RC score, because the percentile is 25.7%. I usually got 20-21 on Top score, but my first passage seemed so hard that I could only do maybe 6 questions in 20 min. for that passage. It wasn't a ethics or piano passage, but it was so hard for me. The other passages were similar to those on top score.

What do you guys think about my chance of getting into U of M? and maybe other schools in general?

Awesome job! How about a breakdown of the sciences? How long did you study? I take my DAT on Friday so I'm getting nervous.

For science sections, I reviewed kaplan blue/white book couple times over a month, did destroyer + review over another month. Then, after my school was over, I did about 1/3 portion of kaplan online and reviewed destroyer for about 3-4 times during my last month. I used CDP/CDM also. I used wikipedia and web a lot. Overall, I think destroyer really helped me with science sections. I think I would have gotten much lower scores for science sections if I didn't review destroyer many times. CDP and CDM were useful.

I took kaplan diagnostic after 2 months of studying (AA19/PAT19), kaplan midterm after 2 1/2 months (AA19/PAT23), top score #2 a week before the test (AA20/PAT23), top score #1 three days before (AA21/PAT23). I usually got 25s for CDP and 22s for CDM.

Your other scores and GPA will make up for your RC score.

You killed that thing, congrats. 17 is very acceptable in light of your other scores, if it was a 16 that would be a little different though. At any rate you smoked it!

Honestly, your score is one of the most impressive I've seen yet. You have absolutely no worries whatsoever in being accepted...Harvard might turn you down...and I bet that's it...if they do! lol!!!

I had no idea that a 17 in RC would be 25% percentile. But eitherway you destroyed the DATs and a 17 in RC will barely scratch you. Congrats.

I know... I thought 17 in RC would be around 50%, but nope.

Hi, you're good to go. Just check with U of Mich to see if they have any cut-offs for any DAT sections b/c last year I also had a decent score but with 17 RC I was asked to retake the DAT b'c the school had the cut-off.
