I just finished the DAT and was wondering what my chances are.
PAT 17
QR 18
RC 30
Biology 24
General Chem 24
Organic Chem 26
TS 25
AA 24

I am a zoology major with an overall gpa of 3.7 and a science gpa of 3.65. I feel like my PAT score is going to kill my chances.

All I used to study for the test was the kaplan blue book. I pretty much memorized everything that was in the science sections and that was it. Since I can't retake the test until the end of october would you suggest just seeing what happens this cycle and if I don't get in take it again in the spring for the next cycle?

People are surprised you got those high scores by just using kaplan. It's generally viewed as insufficient by itself.

It's all that I used but I felt pretty well prepared from my college classes, especially the biology portion. Will my science scores somewhat offset my low PAT? Also does anyone know which schools place less of an emphasis on PAT scores?

no school ever made an issue of my PA at my interviews I think your going to be fine 😎

I should have changed my major to Zoology had I known about all this freaky animals I never heard of before in my life, then I had no worries.

There telling him/her to retake because he/she is asking a stupid question! 24AA 25TS and asking to retake is pretty stupid. I really dont understand what people are thinking when these threads are repeatedly posted by people with awesome scores and asking "should i retake?" I guess some people are really booksmart with a lack of commonsense.
