First Exam November 2008

QR 11
RC 18
PAT 15
BIO 16
GC 16
OC 16
TS 16
AA 15

Second Exam

QR 13
RC 22
PAT 20
BIO 18
GC 20
OC 26
TS 20
AA 20

Breakdown:

QR: As you can tell I am not good in math and will never be. I didnt really study for this section because i thought I would concentrate on the scores that really count, and I made sure that the schools I was applying to didnt care as much about the QR section. Personally I think its a bunch a croc, it should not be on this test but whatever. Use Math Destroyer it will help you if you really practice it

PAT: CDP all the way, thats really all you need. the real test is about the same except for hole punching, which is so easy on the real exam

RC: I didnt study really, when I was reading for BIO I would take that as studying for this section. I think I got lucky on the real thing because my readings were not to bad

BIO: Cliffs AP BIO, except for the Taxonomy chapter, which kicked my butt on the test. I had around 4 specific taxonomy questions. If you read this book you will be OK, I wouldnt waste your time studying for this section and just read cliffs over and over again and take practice test just for BIO

GC: Chad, Chad, Chad, Chad, Chad, Chad, Chad, that is all you need. If you dont already you need to get his videos, just pure amazing at what he does. Yes I got a 20 but I know for a fact I was moving to fast and made a few mistakes, oh yea and by the way I had around 6 calculation problems, not hard, but they did make you think

OC: Chad, thats it

Overall I would suggest getting Chad, and I am not even kidding, thats all you need for these two sections. I mean you can get destroyer to practice but for the study portion just use this guy.

Nice improvement! Would you say Chad's quizzes are representative of the type of chem problems on the DAT?

Yes, I would say they are identical almost to the real thing except for stoichiometry problems. I had about 5 of these and I kinda wasnt ready for them so I would suggest reading Kaplan for this section and this section only. Every other subject he covers extremely well. So use Chad and Kaplan for their Stoichiometry section and use his exams and you should be more than ready for the exam. His OC section is just perfect for the test. The test was kinda almost funny at how easy it was after taking his quizes for OC.

I think schools will simply call you for interviews for how much of an improvement you've made and how that initial 11 in QR didn't effect your motivation.

Honestly tho, call up some schools and make sure they don't have a problem with that 13.... IMO many of them won't mind it, but there are some who will

Yea, I have called Nova and NYU, which are my two schools that I want to go to and they said that my math score was not that big of a deal so that was good to hear.

Thats nice to hear that you have gotten 4 interviews with a 14 in the QR section. I have heard that from a few people also, so thats why I didnt concentrate on studying for that section. I have heard that Chad is making Math videos to go with his GC and OC videos so that will be nice for people who still need to take the DAT.

Im gonna keep bumping this because I want people to realize just how good Chads videos are I know everyone talks about them all the time but for all the new people who always ask about Chads videos and are new to this website this will make it easier to see.
