hey guys
I am sooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo happy that I'm done with DAT... this was my 2nd attempt...

My first DAT scores were terrible... so here is my improvement

PAT 23 -> 22 [😡went down.. but still it's pretty good I think]
QR 22 -> 20 [😡went down too...]
RC 15 -> 24 [😍english is my 2nd language I have no idea how I got 24.. I thought I got 19 or 20]
Bio 18 -> 20 [barely 20... questions were so random...]
GC 18 -> 22 [I thought I did better than 22..]
OC 17 -> 23 [same here... I thought I did better]

TS 17 -> 22 [96% percentile]
AA 18 -> 22 [96.4% percentile]

I was aiming for 23AA but o well, I'm satisfied
I was so worried about RC... since I got 15 before....

My AADSAS application was submitted long time ago... in June... so schools are just waiting for my new DAT...
I faxed my unoffical DAT scores to couple schools but I'm not sure... I don't know if I'm too late or not...

Do you guys think I can still get in this cycle???

Congrats on such a successful turn around! I had similar stats on my first DAT, AA18/TS18 and I too recently took the DAT and received a AA23/TS23.

It's hard to complain about a 96 percentile though 🙂

What materials did you use? With a strong GPA and good recs/experience, you will see a lot of action! Once again, enjoy living on cloud 9! There is a reason schools have rolling admissions... I've known a handful of people who have applied super late (oct/nov) but with a 22+ score and were accepted to their top schools.

For Bio, I only used Kaplan BB and Cliff's AP Bio. I guessed about 10 questions for bio and still ended up with 20... so I think I got lucky.. I wasn't really prepared for bio. I used DAT destroyer for GC and OC and it prepared me very well. When I finished GC and OC section, I thought I aced it or maybe 1 wrong in each section but got only 22 and 23 🙁
For PAT I used CDP Royal Flush version which prepared me very well, and I used CDR for RC. For Math, I did those 150 questions in DAT destroyer book.

Hey, sorry for the late reply.
For QR, hmm, they have a good mixture of hard & easy questions. What I did was go through all the easy questions first [calculation problems] and after I went over all the long word problems that I didn't know. Since you only have 45 minutes, you have to do the calculations FAST... like just know how to add, subtract, multiply fractions fast [eg. 4/5 + 5/13 + 2/22]. I didn't really use calculators because it kind a lags so it actually takes longer than doing it by hand. Unless you have to calculate a huge number, I recommend you to not use the calculator. It will eat up ur time very fast.
I used DAT Destroyer for this, but some of the word problems, I haven't seen in Destroyer, I heard CDM is pretty good but not sure.
For both of my DATs [1st and 2nd attempt], I guessed about 6~8 questions for QR section and got 22 and 20, which is about 8~10 questions wrong.

I don't think it's hard. If you can get all the easy questions correct, you should be able to get 20 or above.

My cGPA = 3.62; sGPA = 3.61; bcpGPA = 3.61
It's only 3.62... because
1st year GPA = 3.10 -_-..........
2nd year GPA = 3.80
3rd year GPA = 3.95
4th year GPA = aiming for 4.0....

So my stats are ~3.6GPA with 22AA/22TS/22PAT

I would say CDR has too much tone, inference questions...
I was getting 17~19 in CDR practice exams and maybe one 20...
and some CDR passages are way too long with 25 paragraphs.

My DAT passages were pretty short, first one was 9 paragraphs and was about microassay which was super easy. Second and third one were 15 paragraphs each. So.. but CDR prepared me well for author's tone and inference questions
