Hey guys I just wanted to thank everyone on this forum for helping me get prepared for my DAT last week. It's been a long road but its finally over I almost fainted when these scores popped up after the test.

I used the Kaplan Blue book, Barron's DAT guide, Topscore, and the ADA sample test to study. I went over the tests over and over until I had each question I got wrong figured out. Barron's book and CD were the most helpful for the PAT. Also, think about investing in some reading glasses for the angle ranking (2.0x really helps). Good luck to everyone who's about to take the test. It's not as bad as some threads here make it seem. Just study hard and invest in a few different study materials and you'll get above a 20.

Whats with all 24s I've been seeing the last couple of weeks lol.

Congrats on those five 24s

wow!!!! reading glasses for the WIN! great idea

What AMAZING SCORES!!! How did you study for the test? what was your schedule like? Great JoB!

Great Scores!! you didnt even use chads or destroyer! What did you find to be the most helpful resources for the science sections?

I thought that the ADA practice test was actually most helpful for the science section. But yeah I studied for about a month, maybe 2-4 hours a day. Go to the ADA website and make a spreadsheet of the topics it gives you. I used wikipedia supplement what I didn't understand from Kaplan, etc.

Pardon my lack of insight on this... but how are the reading glasses able to help out with the angle section? wouldnt it be easier to see it father away, rather than closer up?
Thanks.

P.S: did you have a good knowledge of all the material before studying for the DAT specifically? Because it seems like your 2-4 hrs x 30 days = 60-120 hrs total seems low compared to most ppl.

Thanks.

I looked at the angles really close up. They are so close on the test its really hard to tell from far away. I think 60-120 hours is more than enough time to review for the DAT sections, as you presumably learned the material in class. The number of hours studied has nothing to do with your score. Study to the point you feel prepared. It could be 60 hours or it could be 500 as with some other threads I've seen.
