Ok here are my scores, and yes I know my PAT is terrible and greatly hurts my chances!
PAT 16
QR 18
RC 19
Bio 22
GC 20
OC 19
TS 20
AA 20

Here is how I prepared……..
PAT-well, I have no room to suggest anything. Last time I took the DAT I got an 18 on the PAT. I found the hole punching and pattern folding to be more difficult
QR- used Barrons new SAT math workbook. Did wonders for me, I was very happy with an 18 considering I am mathematically challenged
RC- used Examkrackers 101 passages, I found this very helpful
Bio- Kaplan, Schaum's Outline of Biology, Destroyer, and Textbook (Cambell)
GC- Examkrackers Gchem, Destroyer, Kaplan, and Textbook (Chang)
OC- Kaplan, Destroyer, and Textbook (Gram-Solomons)
Note: I only used my textbooks for sections not explained well in Kaplan and for problems I didn’t understand in destroyer. Good luck everyone!

hey, congrats on the scores

mathematically challenged eh? So am I-- i got work to do!

just 2 questions---Is exam crackers helpful cause of the passages/ or rather helpful cause of the "tips" they give? How was the real DATs passages comparable to those of kap-DAT tests (if those are what u practiced with for the full length)?

Gluck

How long did it take you to finish dat destroyer?

Examkrackers RC was helpful with getting my timing down (reading quick) and also learning how to reason answers. The book doesn't contain any test taking strategies. Kaplan is decent for RC but I think Examkrackers is much better. It took me around 1.5-2 weeks to go over the destroyer.

washington! congrats on the kick ass scores.

what did you do to work on timing when preparing for the test? that seems to be my biggest problem.

also, where are you applying?

thanks and good luck!

For your timing just do as many practice test as you can. I used Achiever and Kaplan for full length practice tests. Both are helpful for that.

good scores but that pat score is going to hurt you, if u don't have that really high gpa you might want to consider retaking again. you have plenty of time and in 60 days you can take it again, keep that in mind.

Dont worry about the PAT all your other grades are solid. I had a 15 on the PAT did well on the other sections and i got into Stony Brook. Best of Luck Congrads!

Hi,

I am also mathematically challenge. Please let me know which edition you used and what other books you've used (if any) for the QR. I'm at my wits with math! Please help. Thanks.

Was Schaum's Outline of Biology helpful? would you recommend it for someone who is not too sure about themselves on the Biology part?
