First of all: A word of reassurance for all: The DAT is really nothing to fret about once u have gone through the process of studying. This includes making alot of sacrifices.

Hope the below help those awaiting to take the DAT:

Bio- Very fair, Read (and understand as much as u can). Its amazing how fast 40 questions go but i will be honest in saying that in those 40 questions there was no stone left unturned. Know ur Bio. I think what others mean by "random" in other posts is just that questions can come from ANYWHERE. This section was good for me tho (I'm a bio major). Either way...read alot.

GC- Very fair, 50% conceptual, 50% otherwise. Know how to manipulate your formulas and know how to do it QUICKLY!

OC- Very fair, nothing "crazy." Know ALL ur basics...and then some.

PAT- Only thing here to do is practice practice practice. Nothing too weird except the angles. Some were just a few degrees apart (2-3), difficult to see a difference, esp with the clock ticking away.

RC- Fair. Be very conscious of time. I got pianoed (no biggy really, its just REALLY detailed). I read the passages then attempted the questions, works for me but i wouldn't necessarily recommend it unless ur a very fast reader with the ability to retain all which was read. I wouldn't necessarily recommend search and destroy either because it just wouldnt work for some questions.

QR- I really disagree with the time frame in which we are alotted to complete this section. We have less than a minute to answer each quesion and alot take more than that. I had about 5 qs than i ran out of time on but guessed on them so as to not just leave it blank (what's the probablty that u'll get 3 out that guessed 5 correct??😀) By far my lowest score--has always been my weakest area.

Materials i used were Kaplan (2009-09 ed.) Good review for starters. DAT Destroyer, good for practice and confidence boost (don't c the hype). Crack DAT PAT, very good practice for PAT. I supplemented with Biology by Campbell and Reece, Cliffs AP bio for the BIO section (works really well). U'll be fine with Kaplan for OC and GC, u can just practice with Destroyer or anything else. For RC, ur everyday studying (reading and memorization) is enough to b able to do this section. QR lots and lots and lots of practice--with a stop watch😀

I believe the above info is more useful to u than my scores. All the above mentioned was very sufficient in my prep for this test and I am truely proud of myself (yay) but i will tell u this about my scores:

Bio- Very good
GC- good
OC-very good
PAT- good
RC- very good
QR- bad👎

I did no practice test.

Congrats on being done!! Too bad your going to tease us with those scores lol.

I really don't understand why people don't post their scores...if you are paranoid and think adcoms are searching through, they are not...but you can always just tweak your scores if you feel uncomfortable...turn a 20 into a 21 or 23 to a 22.

What might be very good to you may be bad for me. These are all relative terms.

it'd be nice if you could post your percentiles (whole numbers if you're really picky..) instead of your scores then... ADA doesn't send those numbers to the schools..
i would really like to see your scores too cause i sort of felt the same way about the test as you did..

ur identity is protected.!...we only know that you are from NY.....no name, no age, no picture..... so what's a GOOD score from 20-30?

wow your very good must be a 30 since your good on the pat is 24. kk:meanie:

i was never really consistent. Most was 12hrs, least was 4hrs. But i got ATLEAST 4hrs in everyday, never less.

better to not say anything than to lie, no?🙂

Congrats and thanks for the info....I have a question for you. In the Natural science part, does this section have a time limit for bio, chem and ochem separately or do you complete all 3 sections in 90 minutes?

I don't think your QR could have been THAT bad cause you came out to AA 24!!!
Congratulations!!!
Now go enjoy your summer! if you have any left of it...

U complete all three sectitons in 90 mins so u have to reeally gauge ur time n use it wisely.
