Bought DAT genius for practice exams (I'm a retake and I already utilized Bootcamp). And I'm finding the OC/GC incredibly difficult. I find the GC portion to be very calculation heavy and OC time consuming (I barely finish and have to guess on the last 3-5 questions).

My practices scores for GC: 16,18,18 and for OC 18,17,17

I'm so upset. I've been studying for about 2 months already and when I used Bootcamp before I was getting slightly higher scores. Is anyone else having this problem? What do you think I should do? I wanted to take my DAT at the end of the month, but it looks like I'll have to reschedule 🙁🙁🙁

I wouldn't be so worried about it. With genius, Bootcamp and destroyer the questions are harder than the real test. What I would do is make sure you start with fundamentals, go back through chad's videos and understand sverything. No go through destroyer / Bootcamp / genius tests and start applying what you're learning and you'll quickly see yourself improving. When I first started I had difficulty finishing Bootcamp / genius tests other than biology within the time limits. However, with practice and trying to make sure I understood things as I went through solutions I quickly got better and faster. And both Bootcamp and genius are harder than the actual DAT. Long story short, don't worry about your scores and just focus on learning as much as possible. The real DAT has lots of easy questions which will help you with your test timing as they're easy questions to go through quickly

I agree overall with the person above although I will add that the scires you're reporting are a bit on the lower side, depending on what your goals are. While you shouldn't worry about your scores too much, they do indicate how you're progressing and what you know.

I averaged between a 20-24 on the dat genius GC/OC. I would say you can perhaps keep working on your fundamentals. But you can do that by working on practice tests, especially for the chemistries, where studying theory isn't that useful, it's best to do problems and see where you're making errors/ struggling and then work on those specific topics. Good luck

Thank you for the advice! I will go back to Chads today and go over my missed questions for Destroyer. I think I will redo the Genius exams in a couple of days and use it as a learning tool.
