Hello i'm going to be taking the DAT this coming monday and i'm just wondering if the scores are decent or if I should maybe delay it a few weeks. For Orgo and Chem i feel pretty good but for Bio it's a crapshoot depending on the questions they ask.

I'm going to be taking the 2009 DAT tomorrow and if i can get 20's on all the sections then i'll more than likely take the test on monday if you guys think it's good enough to

For the DAT bootcamp, I took it last week but took the Orgo once about a month ago and averaged around 16 or 17. For the other sections it was the first time I did any of them.

I did the Qvault Bio ones last week and i averaged around a 20.1, lowest was a 17 and highest was 23.

I also did Destroyer but i didn't keep track of what i got but i think i did average on those.
S
Should i do either Achiever or Topscore for the last remaining week, or what do you guys think i should study until the test?

I don't mind delaying the test but i do want apply when it opens. Let me know if you have any questions.

Averages look good.

Gorgeous improvement in QR; that'll help your AA out a ton.

Even though your RC is decent, I would recommend trying out a new strategy; you can get some pretty big returns in terms of a higher AA if you just tweak your strategy a bit.

For Bio, make sure you know all the solutions on Bootcamp exams. Otherwise, average looks good.

Of course, the 2009 DAT will be helpful too. Don't worry about the QR in 2009 DAT...there are some crazy/random questions at the start of it.

my bootcamp scores were very similar to my actual scores. you look like you're on track for 20+ as long as you keep at it until your exam

Cool, thanks for the help. Do you guys think if i study the Destroyer for the rest of the week along with some PAT and RC that it'll be enough to take the test this Monday? I know that only I can know if I feel ready for the test or not but just want to get some other opinions.

I'm definitely planning on trying different methods for the RC since i'm struggling quite a bit with it.

Some last minute Destroyer could never hurt. You never know, you might get a question on a random fact that is covered by Destroyer.

Yeah i think i'm going to go over the Destroyer again for the last week. Should I do the math section of the Destroyer also? haven't looked at that yet only the Math Destroyer tests.

No need for QR in regular destroyer; Don't overburden yourself. I stuck to the QR in math destroyer only and did very well on the actual thing. I didn't even do Bootcamp QR unlike you- your QR is set; any effort put there will bring diminishing returns at this point.

Instead, concentrate on your RC strategy- I'm telling you- I strongly believe you can pull off a 23+ there if you just tweak your strategy a bit. Maybe try mapping the passage as a strategy. You'll thank me later when your AA soars.

Also do the science sections in destroyer like @JLT223 said, and reread Feralis notes a couple of times.

RC is definitely my weakest section so I think i'll go with your strategy for the last week. Thanks a lot for the help!

If you understand all the problems at least in the first few math destroyer tests AND you can do them fast, you'll definitely be guaranteed a 20+ on QR.

Read my dat breakdown on how my reading went as a terrible reader.... Long story short i was getting 16-17's using every single method in the books but when twst day came i panicked and decided my mapping technique was stupid and went full search and destroy. I think all but one question was SnD friendly and the passage was so much easier to read than any bootcamp or qvault passage... SnD is VERY easy on the real thing compared to all other practice

I had the opposite experience so take this with a grain of salt

I'll try your method tomorrow and see how it goes.

I saw you did Qvault for all the sciences, do you think I should get it or is it too late now? Should I just focus on going over Destroyer again until the test?

My last week of studying I went over the whole destroyer one last time. I believe if i could recall the qvault bio section was the only really helpful section. I would say forget about qvault because you cant go through the bio section twice and go through the destroyer in your final days. Destroyer was the key to my success

Cool, i'll just stick to Destroyer then. Thank you.

So i just took the 09 DAT and got a 20 on all three sciences but didn't feel very confident while doing them specially the Bio. Would it be a bad idea to reschedule the test and take it in two weeks?

I also got a 25 on PAT and 21 on RC.

I would say yes, mainly because I found the sciences to be a bit easier on the 2009, especially biology which only had memory recall questions. Two weeks should be enough to strengthen your sciences.

Cool, i'll do that then. What would you recommend to study for these two weeks? I'm gonna do Destroyer again and just read Feralis, not sure if that's enough.

Also I forgot to mention i got a 25 in the PAT and 21 in the RC, didn't do the QR.

Yea, going over Destroyer is a good idea. For OC, be sure to go over the roadmaps and understand every single reaction on there. Redo bootcamp practice tests and try to get 30 on all the sciences. Your PAT is in a pretty good spot so I wouldn't spend too much time on that. For my last week of studying, I re-watched Chads videos on GC since that was my weakest area and went over my bio flashcards with Anki. You might want to do the same if your GC is weak too. Good luck!

Yeah i'm going to watch Chads videos again this week and do Destroyer and Bootcamp next week. Thanks a lot for the help.
