I've been using Kaplan as my prime resource for studying. I took the course and everything. I've taken a few practice tests recently and my scores are pretty inconsistent but my last scores on a Kaplan practice DAT were...

Bio: 19
Gen Chem: 16 (worst subject and usually get a 15)
OChem: 23
PAT: 21
RC: 18 (usually get around a 20)
QR: 21

How would you spend the next week studying if you were in my position?

Any advice is appreciated. Thanks!

Practice!!! Very important, cant ever do enough of it. Kaplan is very good and many questions are similar to the actual DAT. Make sure you know each and every question inside and out. About gen chem, when I took my test, i noticed that the gen chem section on kaplan was tougher than the actual dat gen chem section and more of it was actually conceptual (not sure if this is the case all the time though). Also, the PAT section on the real DAT especially the angle ranking was a bit harder than the one on kaplan. good luck to you!

Understand the gen chem principles in the Kaplan book and you are set for that section. Same with O-chem. All other sections were significantly harder than the Kaplan books, in my opinion.

Take as many practice tests as possible. I did Kaplan too, and my actual scores were higher than the practice test, but this by no means indicates that it will be the same for everybody. And work to cover any loose ends that you have, like for me I had to read the chapter on trig in the Kaplan book just to reinforce it. btw i got into nearly every school I applied

If you only have one week till test day, you are probably not going to learn any more info. Take one practice test in a real test environment (i.e. library; at home with cell phone off, LAN line unplugged, internet unplugged if possible). After that, take it easy and try not to think about it. Inevitably, you will constantly be quizzing yourself in your head. That's all the prep you need at that point.

Oh, also, if you have flash cards, you should use those in your spare time to reinforce info already learned.

Kaplan section for Chem is actually sufficient? Chem is my weakest area and I still feel that Kaplan isn't enough. I used Shaum's but that book is pretty dense...Maybe I need to do more practice problems...=/
