So, my DAT is in two days. I am particularly worried about QR. I know that QR is arguably the least important score. However, it still contributes to AA, so I want to do well enough (19+ would be ideal). I only have limited time, but I was wondering what I should focus on to prepare for this section. It just seems the QR is changing so much compared to what it used to be, so that's why I feel lost.

I have Math Destroyer. If I focus on those tests, will that be enough to score 19+ on QR? Or does Bootcamp QR more closely resemble the real exam? Between Math Destroyer and Bootcamp, where do you think I should spend more time?

Thanks for any input.

Make sure you go over the problems attached. I would focus on areas of weakness at this point..don't waste any valuable time on things you already know.

Also a good strategy is not wasting time on the DAT on problems that are going to take too long to solve, it is best to move on to the problems you can easily solve. The QR has varied greatly this year from version to version. You might see quite a few of the new QC problems or just a few. With all subjects the DAT varies greatly.

Wishing you the best..

Hi!!

So I was in your exact same position less than a week ago.. I took my DAT on Saturday and I was absolutely horrified for math like the entire time I was just so nervous that this would mess up my score but the biggest piece of advice I can give you is to just stay calm and do EVERY problem that you actually know how to do on the real exam. Ik its common advice but really don't get stuck trying to answer questions you do not know how to solve.

In my last two days before the exam I honestly paid most attention to bootcamp and redoing all of the practice exams timed..although you'd think that you'd remember the answers and it wouldn't be a good representation..I didn't remember many of the questions and I felt like taking those was the best practice. My last couple tries on bootcamp..I retook tests 1-6 I was scoring 19-20s and I got a 20 on the real thing!

Of course its different for everyone but I really felt that my exam was most representative of bootcamp and the style of questions they asked/wording and all. There was not one probability question I hadn't seen on bootcamp and same with the QC type questions. My first practice exam on bootcamp i scored a 14...and i was PANICKING but seriously i learned those problems inside and out and ended up doing way better than I expected. Good luck!!

Thank you! Yeah I'm sort of freaking out now just in general. I can't wait to be done! I just hope it goes well, so I don't have to retake and suffer again 😛 I will go over my Bootcamp questions again 🙂

Thanks! I will keep that in mind and make sure to move on if I don't know how to answer a question! I am also going to work on the additional Destroyer questions tonight. Thank you!!
