I took the DAT a few weeks ago! Its finally over! The 3 months of stress were just compounded as I showed up to test and was told my Drivers License was expired! They gave me 1 hour to go down the DMV, get a new one issued, and get back. Such a great start to the day Id been dreading for months.
As I took the science sections, I wasnt feeling good at all. I didnt seem as confident of my answers as I did on my practice tests, and my mind was already racing about having to retake this thing and what I was going to have to tell people after I had taken off 3 months of work to study for it.
I was worried about gen chem, my weakest area, Bio felt a little better, and Ochem about normal. Reading and PAT went as expected, and QR, although I didnt score as high as I wanted, I was more worried about not finishing, I did finish, but maybe couldve taken a little longer on a few of them.
My scores:
AA: 20
TS: 20
PAT: 23
Bio: 20
Gchem: 23
Ochem:17
RC: 21
QR: 19
I couldnt believe I did this well. It felt more like a 17 score when I took it. Anyway, decent scores, should be good enough to get in. Im proud of my gen chem and PAT scores. I dont know what happened with Ochem, I think I just paniced, I did well in the class, and that maybe had some to do with it, I probably couldve studied a little more for it. Luckily, 17 is the requirement for most schools.
As I said before, i studied for 3 months. I followed the schedule sticky-ed at the top of the forum. It helped a lot to give some structure to study sessions. I used Chads, Kaplan books, Destroyer, Math Destroyer, Crack the DAT, Cliffs Bio. DAT Destroyer helped immensely once I had gone over all the material once. Top Score Tests I scored 17s, ADA tests were both 20s. I took 10 practice tests total.
