DAT Kaplan scores

So im planning on hopefully taking my DATs in about 3 months, and I am just starting to study.
Yesterday night i took the DAT exam in the back of the KBB to see where I am…i got an 18 bio and a 19 organic chem.
but then I took an old kaplan diagnostic exam that i had, and i got a 14 bio 14 organic chem.
so basically…is there a big difference between the KBB's exams and the ones the practice tests that Kaplan provides? and which one does the DAT really compare to?
I noticed that the kaplan diagnostic exam's bio section had a whole lot of ecology questions, while the KBB only had a couple, and the KBB organic chem was a lot more basic than the diagnostic.

I think the diagnostic is harder b/c there are alot of animal behavior/ecology or just really oddball questions. i have always thought they do this to make you think you need their help, and when you score so low you are almost a sure bet on not qualifying for there money back policy. It makes since to me. I am just shooting for 19's on practice and then i should be ready for the real thing.

yeah..the diagnostic had wayyy too many ecology and animal behavior questions. I just hope that on the real DAT it isn't like that.

I'm glad I'm not alone. I thought it was just me. Those tests really suck. Not to take anything away from Dr. Romano, but when I glanced over the DAT Destroyer several months ago, I thought it was much easier than Kaplan's stuff.

That definitely makes me feel a lot better. I have yet to buy DAT Destroyer, but I can say for sure that when i walked out of taking a DAT practice exam at Kaplan and the lady handed me my scores, I felt like I was about to cry. Even though I hadn't studied at all before I took it, I definitely didn't think i was going to get a 14.
And the thing is, looking at the ADA's guide to what is on the biology section of the DAT, practice Kaplan exam had an unproportional amount of ecology questions and pretty much pretended like cell biology didn't even exist.

I also took it like a month ago. The biology was pretty crazy. I wasn't sure if it was because I didn't review bio or because they asked too many detailed ecology questions.

Anywho I got 16/17 AA I think.

I thought the G. Chem was do-able and the QR too. I thought the QR was supposed to be harder. Wasn't many/any word problems on it I don't think.

yeah, i got a 16 QR…which is quite a bit better than I thought I would do considering the fact that I'm so terrible at math.
