So I've been practicing the PAT section using a markerboard and it makes my life so much easier for the folding section. However, I've read some unsavory posts on this site that some centers use unerasable markers and laminated sheets that u have to tear off upon use....is this true/is it becoming more common? Personally, it seems pointless for them to make our life harder by giving us crappy scrap material.

call the prometric center at which you will be taking your test, and ask them what type of draft/board/markers they allow test takers to use

The markers don't erase well. You are given 2 blank grid-like sheets and markers. When you fill one up they will swap out your full one for a clean slate.

Are you really project pat?

each prometric center is different, I know mine gives yellow sheets of paper with pencils

Anybody tried to bring tissues into the testing area to wipe your boards? I can't imagine them saying no tissues allowed. If I really had a runny nose would they rather I dripped snot all over the keyboard? 😉

I posted a thread about this not too long ago called "how do you erase your DAT boards?" or something along those lines. I received two pieces of laminated gridded paper with two WET-erase markers. I apparently didn't get the memo that you could switch out boards whenever you liked, so I used my spit to erase and it slowly became a wet slobbery mess.

Saliva and old sweater will do it. They make our lives more difficult, we leave our bacteria everywhere.

Exactly. I have no problem whatsoever being a sloven pig if these people make it a point to make our lives unbearable at every turn. Sounds like a good plan if I get those crappy laminated sheets.

R we allowed to bring snacks to the testing center and store in the locker?
yup. but you better eat fast because you're break is strictly timed and you have to give yourself enough time to get back into the testing room. fingerprinting, signatures, etc all take time.

Are the boards checkered or gridded? Are we allow to write or prep it during tutorial time?

All these saliva wiping...Nice. I hope the proctor do disinfect the board before handing it to us. If it smells bad, I know how clean it is then. Aren't ADA supposed to be minimizing infection?

Saliva wipe...gold.
