So I'm taking the DAT on 7/26 which is this Monday. I just wanted to see if you guys could help me out with a couple of final things?

1. Am I allowed to bring a calculator of any kind?
2. How long does it actually take? I'm scheduled from 2:30-8:00 in the evening and am really hoping it doesn't take that long.
3. I'm actually not that nervous. I'm reviewed to the point where I feel I can't absorb anymore and am really just ready to be done but again, I'm not really nervous. Is that how anyone else felt?

Thanks everyone!

1. HELLL NOO...you are not allowed to bring a calculator
2. if you want it to end earlier, show up earlier.. i think i showed up 30 min early and they let me take the exam right away( obviously depends what center you go to).
3. thats exactly how i felt, and i did fine...goodluck
( KOBE IS AWESOME)

One more thing everyone. Are we given scrap paper or something to write down things when necessary to help solve problems? Thanks again!

You are given two dry erase sheets with two markers and one eraser... you can't take anything inside the test room... not even a jacket or water... have to put it in the locker they give you... and don't forget your two forms of ID!

to your 2nd question

it's not that long
1.5 hours for NS
1 hour PAT
15min break
1 hour RC
45 mins QR

total: 4.5 hours if you skip the tutorial in the beginning.

Whole exam shouldn't take more than 5 hours

Wow I didn't know they didn't allow jackets. Not even a light thin jacket if it gets cold???

When I went to take my test I was scheduled to start at 9:00, so I showed up at 8:45. When I sat down to take the test it was almost 10:00, so showing up early doesn't always get you in the chair faster. After you start, how soon you get out of there is completely up to you. I personally finished about an hour earlier than the full time.

At my prometrics they would let you wear a jacket, but it had to be zipped up all the way, and you couldn't take it off, or go out to put it on. You had to start with it on, and leave it on. They even had me take off my watch.

Would I be allowed to put my notebook that has notes for QR in the locker and take it out during my break and look it over?
