Hi!
I'm currently studying to take the DAT. I am wondering if anyone would be interested in being ONLINE accountability partners. I'm not interested in physically meeting up to study, just someone who is also currently studying for the DAT. We could post on this thread or send private messages about how many hours we put in, what we learned that day, etc. We could also share some study tips on how to remember different information.

I plan to take the DAT at the beginning of July. I haven't registered yet because I haven't been putting in the study time I should be. I'm planning to hit the books hard and do many hours each day. I have already put in some hours, but I am not where I should be. I think (hope) I would do better if I felt more accountable.

Love this Idea !!! 4 weeks for me and I. planning to do lot's of QR today some orgo (chad), chem destroyer, bio destroyer and PAT test. Hopefully will achieve all this today.

2 weeks and 2 days for me. Just did a buncha HW eq problems to make sure I don't screw those up! Bout to do qvault bio, then the last 50-60 gen chem and orgo problems in Destroyer. I did QR all day yesterday, so I dont think I can look at it again until the day before my test haha

13 days for me. The 17th. Freaking out about gen chem still.

How many hours are you putting in a day? I'm taking my test in July. I had shadowing 8-5 today and again tomorrow. Planning on doing 3 hours of DAT today and tomorrow after shadowing, then I will step it up to many more hours.

This is a great idea! I'm scheduled for June 23 right now, but am still contemplating pushing it back even though everyone says it's impossible to feel 100% prepared for this thing. I began studying May 7 right after my O-Chem final. I study for around 7-8 hours a day.

I started with GC which was one of my weak areas and spent about 1.5 weeks watching chad, doing Destroyer 2x over, and taking a few benchmark tests on QVault. I then moved onto QR and spent about a week watching chad and I have done 8 MD tests 2x over as well as taken one Bootcamp QR test. I then started on OC- which is my favorite subject. I did really well in OC I/II during these past two semesters so studying for that stuff was a breeze especially since I just took the ACS. If anyone needs help with OC feel free to ask. I put in about 4 days with PA doing various practice problems. I feel pretty solid with Hole punch, CC, and angle ranking. I think I'm progressively getting the hang of TFE and KH. Pattern folding is a hit or miss 🙁 I just started on BIO today and read about 200 pages of Cliff's.

@Daneosaurus I'm actually pretty amped to read your breakdown because I know you're going to kill it 😉

And if anyone is on the verge of giving up- as I know I am at some points, just post here and we can give you some motivation :banana:

I feel solid in TFE and keyhole but not hole punch and angles haha. I put in anywhere from 3-10 hours, depending on if I'm focused or not. Like Today I been goin since 730-8 taking breaks for lunch n working out. 2 weeks +2 days out I've gone through Destroyer once, bootcamp I've done 2 tests each, Qvault I've done 6 BIO, 6 OC, and 2 GC. I took my DAT in September and did very well on GC and OC but did not so good on reading, qr, and bio. The bio questions had figures, diagrams on literally 8-10 questions. Between the stress and curveball they through at me I ended up with a 17.

Well today's log

Bio-notes/practice HW problems, qvault test, went through flashcards for a couple hours on anki,
OC-went through flashcards I made, read over all my notes to date, 60 Destroyer q's, qvault test,
GC-read through someone's textbook looking for things that might be important, complete waste of time, 60 destroyer questions
PAT-did a buncha hole punch practice on BC generator
QR-picked up my binder and put it back in my backpack

Now that I read all this I think I gotta lot done today! lol

If yall wanna share notes or need notes over something lemme know.

Have you watched chad's OC videos yet? Watch his videos and download his outlines as well as his list of reactions and then make flash cards for all of the reactions. If you have a more specific question I may be able to help you more.

I love this! I'm planning to take at the end of July and I need to be held accountable...I'm also taking 2 summer classes :/ it's easy to get distracted.

I AM THE WRONG PERSON FOR THIS JOB! I tried to make a group message, then it told me I could only send it to 1 person...but I also checked the box that says 'allow anyone in the conversation to invite others.'

Does anyone know how to invite peopler into a private message? Or maybe someone else make it and add me? :help:

Decided to change place of study to the library instead of my house. Feel better already 3.5 weeks out feel like i won't make it, but gotta try.

Ok well no response and I'm impatient sooooooooo, what type of email do yall have? Gmail has these thing called communities which is like facebook except its easy, quick to send documents, etc. I made one if u wanna join, pm ur gmail address and ill invite u. This would also be a good time to make a new email address if ur still using ur school email.



I made it private btw so it's safe.

Got the community up an runnin on google+! send me ur gmail and I'll invite u to the club. If you create a gmail acct make sure to activate google+ (it takes 5 seconds).

Great idea! I'm 5 years out of school, so sometimes feel disconnected. I'm planning to take mine in August. Work full time, but took a Leave that started last week! No work until August to get some serious studying and job shadowing done. Was getting 3 hrs off and on per day while working, now doing 6+ every day. Always get better studying done at the library. Sometimes I go to the community library, sometimes the university library. The university library has been nice because nearly everyone is a student and seriously studying (as opposed to playing games and watching movies). I find it more motivating, makes me want to get back to school!

I would stay in college for the rest of my life if I could!
