I noticed in DAT Bootcamp, some of the them are folded into the plane of the paper instead of out of the plane. In the actual DAT PAT will they be like that too? I was under impression that the paper is always folded out of the plane in hole punching, while its into the plane for pattern folding.

Could go both ways on hole punching, you just got to watch out for where the lines end up! Just takes a little more observation to determine if the fold is coming out of or into the plane of the page.

Oh ok all of sudden my flow just stopped when I got to one of those but sounds good thanks!
