DAT Percentile Scoring

Is the DAT percentile scoring based on the overall average of certain questions being asked or on the exact same test being given at the exact same time?

I ask for this reason:

If I took the DAT at the end of August, then would my scores be lower due to the fact that I'm competing against other students who've had the entire summer to study? Or would my scores be the same as if I were to take them at the end of May?

I've heard that they score you based on the scores of the past 10,000 tests taken. About 13,000 tests are taken each year so if I'm right you are stacked up against about a year's worth of tests
