DAT Practice??

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
1. Paid ADA 2009 DAT test (a must imo; if you buy it, buy it NOW since it takes a few weeks to arrive. Most people say it's the most representative of the real DAT)
2. Crack PAT (a must imo, but you already said you're getting it; most say it's a good representative if not a tad bit harder.)
3. TopScore (a must imo; most say it's close but maybe score a couple points higher/lower)
4. Crack Reading (I think it's helpful for finding strategy and tones/inference Q... don't rely on Topscore for RC)
5. Crack Math (if you have extra $, otherwise math destroyer will be enough)
6. DatQVault (if you need help with bio... it gives prediction scores as well.. I have it, and I think it's a good way to retain and recall information)
7. Achiever (if you run out of tests to take.... I heard it's much, much harder than the real DAT and scores may be discouraging... but nonetheless, great practice)

That's all I can think of for now 🙂

I used Topscore only for practice tests, and as far as science goes, it was pretty close. I'd say it was a bit more difficult than the real DAT, but not by much. My science scores were a bit higher on the real DAT than they were on Topscore. As far as everything else, I thought Topscore was easier than the real DAT. The reading comp on topscore isn't bad, but it is a tad bit easier than the real DAT, if only because it is so cut and dry.

Topscore's biggest problem, in my opinion, is QR. They need more question variety, and they need to make it a bit more difficult to really simulate the DAT. At least, I felt that way after my DAT. It's tough to make many generalizations with a test like this.
