I heard the DAT cost $180 last year. I just tried to register and it came in as $385.

Did the cost of the DAT just more than double? That's a huge increase.

I think it was like $360 last year. So it might have gone up about $25 or so. For future reference there is a DAT waiver that you can apply to. It's based on financial need. If you get it approved it's 50% off the DAT price. They're first come first serve.
