I am still using the product and honestly, I like it. I think I saw one error in the PAT section. You know how that goes though. It was paper folding and I was 100% sure that it wasn't six holes....but who knows..I could have been dead tired or having PTS from Iraq! Again, I am three weeks into studing for the DAT and am taking the thing in either June or July depending on how I look the end of May. I did bother be that I had a like 74% on the PAT section and expected to be worse. So, I posted the thread to get some feedback on the level of difficulty of DAT P compared to the real test or top score.ManzRDH said:

Err.. I"m not in dentistry, but then I've subscribe to "www.oatprofessor.com" when I took my Optometry Admission Test. Honestly...DON"T GET IT!! oH my god.. it's the worst thing ever... it doesn't tell u anything, they have questions that are wrong.... its' totally a waste of money!

I just got the 3tquest program off ebay. I haven't really used it a lot yet, but it looks very good. It was $45 on ebay without shipping (download). It has diagnostic, academic, but was designed to increase PAT. You can manipulate the PAT objects with your mouse, and view from all angles (like the cd roms w/chime commands for biochem, etc for protein model viewing). The difficulty of the PAT is supposed to equal that of real DAT. The guy that sells it is super nice too. And no I'm not with the company. check out the website I think its 3tquest.com. Just got the Kaplan class materials off ebay too

I used this software for a bit until it crashed. I went back to the company and they have changed their name now. I got it working again after a major headache. it installs a ton of stuff including some funky freeware stuff that you have to have to make the drawings PAT work. I think that freeware was part of problem. don't know what's up with that. it looks like they copied topscorepro.com software. i think some student actually wrote all the questions. that's what you get from a kaplan course. some student. thats what his website says. I had trouble emailing or contacting them for help. it took forever to get back with me. that was before he had his home phone number on the website. go figure. beware IMO. i used Kaplan's blue book, my college text books, topscorepro.com CDROM and an old barron's review book. I did great.
i have dat professor, its not bad, but its really annoying when you take a test and have to stare at the answer key for a few minutes only to realize that you are right and the answer key is wrong. this happened to me atleast twice on one of the pat tests. it basically gives you a couple more tests to practice on, with limited explanations for questions. in my opinion its nice but definitely not worth what theyre asking. the kaplan book comes with almost as many questions, plus a whole study book, for only a little more money, plus you can trust their answers to be correct.
