I don't understand how the formal charge is 0. I got +2. According to the formula which CHAD provides it comes out to be +2. But destroyer gives, not only a different answer but uses another formula to calculate.
If destroyer has not made a mistake then should I use their technique or stick to CHAD's.

Since the attachment thing won't work I'll just type the question.

What is the formal charge on Xe in XeF2?

Xe-8
2F-14
total= 22e-

so according to CHAD there are 8 valence electrons in Xe normally and 6 valence in the lewis structure

therefore, according to CHAD

normal valence electrons - actual valence electrons= formal charge
8 - 6 = +2

That is what I did.

Please help

Did you count the lines ? 6 is the number if lone pairs bro . You gota add that to number of lines which is 2 .
8-(6+2)=0
