DAT question paper or board?

Hey I am a Kaplan DAT teacher,

I was wondering are they making it mandatory for all DAT students to use dry erase board on the test instead of paper. I know that my previous students have used paper, but some people are saying it has switched to dry-erase boards.

Would realy appreciate answers if yall have them,

At my center they didn't give out boards, but rather some laminated lined paper (they might have given two of them). I made a point to go out to staples and make some laminated pages to use with dry erase markers just to practice, and I think it helped alot. The big things to get used to, in my opinion, are the rhythm of when to erase and making sure you're markers don't dry out. There's nothing worse than getting to the center on test day and getting a curve ball that keeps you from doing your best, so everything you can do to simulate test conditions helps.

I think for the most part laminated paper are given out with markers and an eraser. I haven't heard of them giving out erasable boards nor paper. Good luck

It's not that big. But quite thick though. || <---- this much thickness or bit more if you draw a line. If you were to solve quite lengthy QR question, then you would barely finish 1 question in 1 page.

I took it yesterday, and I got two laminated, gridded sheets of paper, two medium-small-tipped dry erase markers, and an eraser. I thought it was a pretty good way to do it actually; the markers were plenty small to do just about anything you need to do...it's not as big of a deal as some people make it out to be.

Also, I've heard people on here complain that their markers were dry and stuff, but the staff was super friendly and willing to give new ones out if you hold them up in the air during the test.

it basically the board only but if they call up the ADA and say they are allergic to the marker would let paper and pen .......

I had thin tipped marker. They gave me two. One of the tips broke in half during the exam and when I got my break they gave me another two brand new ones. Thin tipped. I called the testing center before my exam to ask what kind of materials I would be given.

i got two of these. i'd prob say it was as med tip. the pen itself was no bigger than a large ink pen. it didn't bother me too much, i just couldn't write as small as i'm used to...
